A day without mishap. Sigh! I've been house-bound and, daft as it may seem to those of you who are sane I've missed the toils of gardening. Daft as a brush...me.

Maw lovely photos of Flynn, he's a cutie. The bubbles are impressive, how on earth did so many appear at once? It's nice that you're obviously feeling more relaxed and getting out and about more. You've had a tough time the last year or more so, no feeling guilty.

Ha! The sky has cleared. The sun shines. I'm trying to decide what to wear for the important first meeting with the babes. Something that won't crease badly and is sick-friendly, methinks.
I have had such a nice few days I almost feel guilty!
On Wednesday/Thursday I was with little Flynn who is such a character. He has a smattering if French as his Daddy speaks French to him, and in the bath he was getting frantic looking for” Annette” which I took to be a bath toy. So I tipped them all into the bath without seeing anything which seemed to do, whereupon he pounced on a pair of children’s sunglasses ? and was happy with his “lunettes” !
Then on Thursday we went to a wildfowl reserve called the Walthamstow Wetlands made from the reservoirs/drainage lakes/marshes and that was lovely. So many quack quacks. Not to mention Pombears and Ojuice!
Yesterday I got the train down to Kingston, meeting up with my sis-in-law for lunch followed by a performance of Much Ado at the Rose Theatre (designed by DD.)
Just strolling by the river in the sun and lunch at Carluccios in the open air - a joy in itself.
This afternoon I am taking my friend and her husband who has Alzheimer’s to The Guernsey Potato Peel Pie etc film
We are also meeting another friend who has been quite poorly ever since retiring in January and not getting out much.
And the sun is still shining!
N&G Glorious red tulips. One of my favourite colours. Well done to your neighbours. The human spirit may not move mountains but it certainly can be a positive driving force.
We bought a derelict hay loft in Cornwall - many years ago - it was our dream to convert it into a wee cottage. We had some help but MacSporran put in long hours when not working from the adjacent "goose house" that he had converted into an office. He was a self employed architect at the time. Rat infestation in the hay loft made him ill for a time. Never the less, he was responsible for the carpentry (and I did the decorating) when not working in the village pharmacy. The project was tough. The result was a triumph and we named our home The Lofthouse. Living room under the exposed beams and bedrooms on the ground floor. We bought the barn for £20,000. When we sold the house it made a handsome profit.

A very good (if slightly damp) greeting from Kintyre. callgirl1 today's weather is much like it was for you last Sunday. Yesterday was glorious. MacSporran and I remarked on how lovely it would have been for you and the girls. Only it wasn't. 
Baggs and Galen I trust that you are beginning to recover from your mishaps. I shall be quite safe today. It's to be an indoor day. The garden is looking lovely and the rain is what the new growth needs. I shall print some photos and do my ironing. Fair enough!

oooooh Eggs benedict - my favourite Maw ! Unbelievably I had a really good one in Morrison's the other day - given that Ive had some rubbish ones in far posher places - 5 stars to Morrison's !
Crikey you lot are accident prone !! Hope everyone with 'ouchies' are feeling a lit better ! I brought some stuff back from America last time which you spray on and its a second skin ( not sure if you can get it here) but its great for all sorts of cuts and blisters.
Oh Kitty poor Bertie - hope he is feeling a lot better this morning. Poor lad x I had to read the whole thing about sleeping with your dentist twice - it did make me chuckle !!

Corner I feel your printer pain ! When ours works its great but that's not all the time. In fact its the WiFi printing that causes me most pain so I solved it by buying a longer cable !! HA! Take that WiFi printing !!
You all beat us in the house stakes BUT we have been here 6 months today! I see a celebration coming on ( any excuse!!)

Our young decorators left yesterday after another great job !! Oh but its lovely to have the house back to ourselves. We'll put everything back today. The scaffolding from outside and the skip went yesterday too !
Counting down the days now to our holiday. The plumber will be tearing out the whole bathroom and refitting whilst we're away - cant decide whether we're brave , trusting or complete idiots. !!
We met our neighbours on the other side yesterday , he is a farrier and they have 2 little boys who were lovely bundles of mischief. He was refused a mortgage some years ago sas he is self employed so he has built them a beautiful family home as they can afford it. Its taken 10 years so far and I have huge admiration for his hard work and tenacity .
