I'm going to join in the terrible toilet tales. When we were in Japan, we went on a bullet train while I was suffering from a gippy tummy. My claim to fame is speeding along through the Japanese countryside at whatever vast speed bullet trains travel, using a JAPANESE toilet. Luckily it had a handle to hang on to otherwise I could have easily disappeared down the toilet and not re-emerged until we got to the next station.

Very quick message, my H had a severe stroke at lunchtime,while while watching football.
Very quickly into hospital which has the accolade as the best stroke unit in England.
After a scan he was given a clot busting drug , an infusion, over an hour and is now on a ward in the stroke unit.
He had no speech and no use in his right side.
He is expected to make a recovery. I am still in shock, but hopeful.

Oh Annsixty I don’t know what to say except to send love, sympathy and every possible good wish to you both.

Oh Ann whatever next I ask. He appears to have had very prompt treatment and will hopefully receive the best of care. My heart goes out to you because I am well aware of what you have gone through this year already and we are not half way through. Please look after yourself.

Ann, what a shock for you. As if you didn't have enough to cope with as it is. Is it the same hospital? You will be traipsing back and forth again and I hope you won't exhaust yourself.. Thinking of you. xxx

So sorry to hear about your husband’s stroke Ann. Good that he’s getting such rapid care. It does make such a difference to outcome. DH is the survivor of 4 strokes, so I speak from bitter experience. Hugs to you.

Just popped in to play catch but stunned to hear your news ann . What a shock ! I’m glad he’s in the best place for care, as Anno says - take care of yourself too.
