I have said on different threads I support my brother and his two sons who are haemophilic. The elder son played for Wales but due to damage to his joints from internal bleeds had to give up. He became a coach, my brother took him to Russia for several months to train. Opened his own sports centre and this is the result

Is she a darling

Oh, wow - how fabulous! What a star she is. My Dad used to play table tennis for Wales, and this brings back memories of watching him play. At 11 years old, Anna is phenomenal!

I can feel your pride from here, Anniebach!

As has already been said, lovely to hear . Makes you as an onlooker feel bit more appreciative to the achievements of such dedicated people and happy for the areas in the country where this kind of hard work is going on. Good news instead of the horrible type of news that makes you wonder what is going on in The UK

My friend's son is Duncan Scott the Scottish swimmer who has won 5 medals at the CG. I fully understand your joy Annie. It is amazing how having a connection with a competitor brings a whole new dimension of interest, excitement and Yes, PRIDE, even though one has not contributed directly to their success. smile

That’s wonderful Annie; a stellar achievement for young Anna, and for your nephew who has overcome so much in his life. I hope they all have a great future in front of them!

Oooops, I meant Anna, my g niece Hannah is expecting her first baby in April, was diagnosed type 1 diabetic two years ago so she is in my thoughts , her grandmother , my sister, must be getting stressed , not good having had three heart attacks

Anniebach Thu 29-Mar-18 16:51:31

Yes proud of my nephew for not allowing his disability to control him even when in much pain. Very proud of my brother , they waited ten years for a baby, this baby boy arrived, we painted ' and son' on the firms vans, a year later he was diagnosed . My brother has worked so hard to build up the firm, invest in property too, so if the time comes when his sons are badly disabled they will not be dependent on benefits . My nephew can't go with Hannah, his partner has a mastectomy in January so is undergoing chemo, she is a darling, only 27, she had cancer when in her teens.

And we are so very proud of Hannah , in the club every day after school since she was five .

Do cheer her on , this is Hannah's moment and she is the sweetest little girl. Oh if she can bring home a medal ??
