I found this a very interesting talk about the experience of being a man, or being a woman.

I think it shows how "gender" (rather than biological sex) is a social construct, and that attitudes and expectations could be changed by society rather than people feeling that they have to change themselves.

Some apparently trivial examples in the talk, such as the "wrong plane seat" situation, give a real indication of differences in viewpoint.
