I’ve been catching up with Cruising With Jane Macdonald on Channel 5, and I think I could get on with her.
I also think I could get on with Graham Norton.
What about you?

Martine Croxall. Her presentation of BBC's 'The Papers' is so relaxed and good humoured and she always brings the best out in her guests.

Dame Judi Dench, Paul O'Grady and Dawn French.

I think I'd get on with Paul O'Grady. He seems such a gentle man.

I think Jo Brand - no-nonsense, cat-loving, and with a dry sense of humour.
Bradley Walsh - genuine, funny, down-to-earth bloke.
Paul O'Grady - animal-lover, funny, genuine man.

Julie Walters, Dawn French and Peter Kay smile

Barak Obama, Dame Judy Dench, Ian Mckellan and Orlando Bloom.

Jeremy Hardy for sure, he thinks just like me? also Alan Davies and Jeremy Corbyn although we would have to steer clear of Brexit as a topic as I am a hard line Remainer ??????

harrigran Mon 12-Mar-18 08:26:14

Jo Brand.

Ive heard that Bill Clinton has that quality of making everyone he meets feel they are the most important person in the world.
I haven't met him but did see him once on a visit to Warwick a University and even in a crowd he had a magnetism.
I think I'd get on with Ed Sheeran, such a nice boy, Richard Madeley, if I could get a word in! Jo Whiley, Michael Ball.
Can't think of any others but there must be lots of nice genuine people in the public eye that I'd like.

henetha Mon 12-Mar-18 09:44:05

Oh so many... In particular Graham Norton who I have always felt is my closet son really!
And Dale Winton. I think he's a lovely man.
I long to meet Dawn French, she being from the west country like myself. And she is so funny.
Amongst Americans would be Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise,
Barack Obama, (and Michelle). Oprah Winfrey, etc........

Lindylo Mon 12-Mar-18 10:48:05

Graham Norton who is a real gem
Barack Obama - a real gent
Joan Rivers - she would have been a scream!
Princess Ann - down to earth

Margs Mon 12-Mar-18 11:27:24

Maybe Rachel Johnson? She seems a lot more pragmatic and down to earth than her sibling Boris.....

linjon Mon 12-Mar-18 11:39:02

Miriam Margolyse (sp?) Bradley Walsh, Jo Brand, Billy Connolly, Stephen Fry, Alan Bennett, Brian Cox, John Lennon, Richard Burton, George Burns, I could go on .........?

DD is working with Mel Giedroyc at present and says she is lovely friendly, professional and very funny.
I think I’d get on well with her.
Some years ago same DD was working with Jeremy Irons and not impressed.

Sian Lloyd (ex weather presenter) came to my rescue with a glass of water when I was having a coughing fit, and was very sweet.

My DD has worked with Mariella Frostrup who was delightful, as was the late Brian Sewell. She also came into contact in the same job with two infamous celebrity abusers, one now dead, the other still with us. This was well before the scandals erupted, but she found both very creepy.

As for someone I feel I could get along with - Penny Smith, now sadly not on TV very much. She seems to have a great sense of humour and is very down to earth.

Eloethan Mon 12-Mar-18 17:11:13

acanthus Penny Smith is sometimes on The Wright Stuff. I think she is an able, interesting and amiable presenter, with a very quick wit. I don't know why we don't see more of her.

I ‘ looked after’ Sandi Toksvig at a Book Festival. She was delightful.
Alan Bennett was also lovely.

I didn’t ‘ look after ‘ Michelle Collins ( Eastenders and Coronation Street), but my colleagues told me she was lovely, and invited two wee 14 year old lassies she’d been chatting to on the Twitters to join her in the Green Room! She posted pics of them all on the Twitters.

Dara O’Briain for me - love his quick wit and humour. DH met Eddie Izzard on location (!) last summer and said he was a really nice guy. He spent lot of time with the extras just chatting so I think I’d like to spend sone time with him as well.
