I bought a new mobile phone in January and have not yet got going with it. On 27th Feb Vodafone sent an email inviting me to a free appointment to help me get started. It promised to be jargon free and sounded just what I needed so made the appointment for my nearest shop for Monday 5th March. 53 minutes before the appointment I was sent an email reminder. Turned up to find the shop closed for refurbishment. Came home and tried to ring them using my old phone - it wouldn't work as there does not seem to be any connection. Sent an email and had one in reply saying they had tried to contact me but couldn't and would I ring them. I did and was given an email address and telephone number for the shop. The email address didn't work (apparently it was an internal email address only) nor did the phone because my phone isn't working. Rang customer sevice again and was told the shop had opened at 10am that morning and would I like to make another appointment. So today off I went again only to find THE SHOP IS SHUT !!!!! The promised call from vodafone to check that everything was now fine also didn't happen. Rang them again and at least this time they did accept that the shop was shut but would reopen on 14th March. They also said tht they had tried to message me to say not to go to the appt but of course I have NO CONNECTION !! What complete and utter incompetence from Vodafone which started by them making an appointment for a closed shop. We shall see what happens next week.
Sorry for the rigmarole but I'm a wee bit cross and have to vent !

Vent away. On the positive side, it Just goes to show you're doing well if even their staff have problems using modern technology!

It is almost funny - I can feel a comedy sketch looming.
