Which extra room would you like in your house?

We have a utility room and a pantry, but I would like a guest bedroom, we can only put guests up on an airbed in my study, all right for the younger generation, but not really suitable for our own age group.

A room to sit and knit or crochet and listen to what I want on the radio without interruptions. DH spends the afternoon sitting in the lounge watching tv and I sit in the back room doing crafts or reading but he has to come through the back room to go to the bathroom (and as he takes diuretics at lunch time that can be more than once an hour sometimes) and always has to question what I'm listening to or start telling me what he's been watching. Drives me mad.

I would like a conservatory but there is no physical space so I put French doors in the dining room which leads out onto the back garden....it’s an ok space to sit on wet days!

When we finally get enough money to convert the third barn.

But this has to come after the smokery, boule piste, compostable loo by the pool, summer kitchen, winter sitting area, greenhouse, potting shed, yet another tractor/lawnmower shed, improvements to the snail farm, car port, extra log storage. This is according to OH who you may realise likes to work outside!

An additional bedroom above the garage would fulfil my husband's dream and therefore, mine.

I gave up my coat (and general bung it in) cupboard in the hall, for a downstairs shower room, we knocked through the downstairs loo so it is a decent size.
Now there are only the two us it might be nice to have the cupboard back. However soon neither of us will be able to climb in the bath so it is really vital.

I want a side extension off my kitchen to act as a porch and cloakroom. But I am conflicted because that is also my favorite place in the garden to sit (just out of the afternoon sun and near my back door)

A proper bathroom, with bubbly bath, shrlves for Radio/CD player, candles and books, lots of cupboard space and heated towel rail!

A study again, had to give mine up when son returned home, as a bedroom for his daughter and I took up residence in the attic but it is always cold and the damn cat comes up and annoys the hellmout if me. Nit even my damn cat should belong to the damn daughter. Are not children a real bind?

Like AuntieFlo we have enough rooms but I doubt even Kirsty A could rejig to give me the coats cupboard I want in the hall and a walk in larder, just can't see how it could be done.

We had a dining room when we moved here and used it once as the table in the kitchen is almost as big. I am now sitting in that room as it has become my study. Big dining table gone to DS who uses it every day.

We are hoping to move this year but my 'must have' list is so big I wonder if we will find it all. Must have:

Coat cupboard
Walk in larder
Utility room
Downstairs loo
En-suite
Sunny, manageable garden
Quiet road
Walking distance to shops

Now all that would be a challenge for Kirsty and Phil.

I would like a Tardis to hold all my accumulated (and to be accumulated because I know myself) junk.

We downsized to a 2bed flat from a 3bed house. Miss the extra toilet don’t realise till you move what a difference it made. Let a bedroom because gd lives with us.
Would have loved a utility room. When I watch escape to the country and there’s a utility room always envious.

Would also like a utility room.....and I'll also throw in a conservatory (not sure if that's classed as another room)...I have the romantic idea that it would be lovely to sit and have breakfast, or read in a conservatory! In reality I have been told conservatory's are quite hard to maintain...I work 4 full days per week....and at the moment wouldn't probably have time to have a leisurely breakfast, and reading is hit and miss with me depending how my week's going. we can dream!

A still room /pantry.

No horses Menopaws just dogs, cats, chicks and a sheep. We have been asked to take two rescue donkeys though. My husband is seriously considering it.

A utility room, and the good news is that I had half of my garage converted into one just before Christmas, full access on same level as the kitchen and room for washer,dryer, freezer, fridge freezer and wall mounted vac !
I agree downstairs loos are important but not a problem as I love alone in a bungalow.

We all need to have a big win on the lottery to get the house of our dreams! ? (it would mean buying a ticket mind you.)

I have all the rooms I could possibly need but I do not have a downstairs loo. When we altered the house I optd for a very large kitchen rather than a utility with toilet facilities. Would have been useful when GC were tiny.

A second bedroom please. I'm only in a one bedroom flat. I bought it new but couldn't afford the extra money to stretch to one with 2 bedrooms unfortunately

My bungalow is so small I haven't even room for a table and I would love a table

I would love a room for thatI could use to do the ironing in and store the board and iron and baskets of clean laundry. It would also double as a room I could set up my sewing machine in with a big table for cutting out material on or sitting at and writing letters etc. I would have a big cupboard to store all my sewing equipment plus my knitting yarns, sewing patterns, books and other like minded equipment. It would be heaven just to walk out and shut the door when i have finished.

I've got enough rooms, but I would like an architect, (or Kirsty Allsopp), to come and re-jig them. ?

I have enough rooms including a sort of utility but I would love a bigger sitting room - the one we have is easy to warm up in the winter so I keep telling myself it is fine but I really would like it a few square metres bigger!

I would love a sewing and craft room so that I could tidy up the dining room and we could actually eat in it.

An upstairs loo or even better an upstairs bathroom. I have a very small downstairs room with a shower (in what was a walk in larder), small hand basin in similar sized area next to it and then loo in small separate area next to that. While it's perfectly fine I sometimes wish I had more room to move about.
