We put DH's old violin on Freegle. It was old and had never been that good as his parents couldn't afford a better one. The man who came for it, was absolutely delighted with it, we made it clear that it was very much a learners violin etc etc.
Four weeks later we went to our local village hall auction and among the lots was DH's violin. It sold for £20

In my clearing out/tidying Ihave liberated 18 wooden magazine files so I put them on a local FB “ market place” website - and because I am not trying to make money out of anything Paw had, free (or as my granny would say “free, gratis and for nothing”)
I had over 80 expressions of interest including a pre school and a primary teacher, but being me, gave first refusal to the first person to reply.
I have been expecting her to pick them up for the last two hours - I even gave her a mobile number as well as detailed directions and have missed walking the dog before the rain, picking up an order from M&S and well, just getting stuck into anything else.
AIBU to feel miffed?
Or is it that if something is free people take it for granted?
Feeling just a tad brassed off and I now have two big boxes of these files blocking my hallway.
