Double row of pearls, Barbour, bespoke tweed plus-twos, topped off by a headscarf covered in pictures of horses, bits, and bridles - just in case I forget that horses, bits, and bridles go together. Oh, wait, this isn't the 'posh' thread, I can be honest ...

Everyone sounds so stylish I'm embarrassed to admit: ancient baggy jeans because the waist is actually at the waist on old trousers instead of somewhere that makes you look like a builder on the job. (A friend says 'crack kills!' when walking by building sites where un-asked for anatomy lessons are being given!) Ancient grey cotton polo-neck under ancient tea-coloured Guernsey. Grey socks, ancient brown leather paddock boots which is cheating & a bit pretentious since I can't ride anymore & was never much good at it anyway. But the boots are much too comfortable to give up! Ancient stripy Puffa was added when I popped out to buy a few bottles of stout. Worzel Gummidge would think I'm a disgraced relation if he saw me.

Bra's old (I hate them till they stretch out & get to know you) ... bright red, though. A study in scarlet! Being beneath a beige cotton vest doesn't show it off to best advantage but I have a theory that a red bra keeps the cockles warm. Salford canal grey knickers. I used to be so smart & if my smalls had been on view at the V&A I'd've had no cause for shame ... that rotten sod Time is going to get a face full of mace from me one of these days!

Baggs, your scarf is marvelous! kittylester & ... I've forgotten who else posted a slipper-pic, they're both delightful! Kitty, mine are just like yours in shape but in a light-&-dark red check. Your colour & design are much nicer though. More feminine. The style is so warm & comfortable; don't know what I'd do without them. Keep the ankles nice & warm.

Cherry, you sound just like me on more days than I can count! Crossover pinnies are so easy to move about in & they keep everything clean. Why do people laugh at them when they're so practical? I think they look rather nice & homey, anyway. Scarves (yours sounds so cheerful!) keep hair clean and out of the way. Everyone howls at me for looking like the Monty Python pinnie-lady sketches, but I get a sight more work done than my 'smart' friends ... and I'm nearly always told behind the sniggering backs that I make much the best cup of tea, so boo sucks and ha!

Arty, where did you find those 'comfies'? Seriously, I really want to try & find a pair. Blue-&-white stripes are eternally smart & visually comforting at the same time. Don't insult them - just be glad you've got them!

I love GN. You lot are marvelous. I'm almost beginning to wish I had some sort of device to share photos. Only GN could make me feel that!

Back home now. Had white linen trousers and a blue and white short sleeved top. Now back on top of bed wearing nude knickers and white bra in front of fan. Looked briefly at state of house, thought better of it so ran back into bedroom and onto here. Much nicer. You all sound amazing ladies. I’m envious of the beautiful scarves and the paddock boots.

Its raining here in Wales today, off out after week (another one) besting the lurgy.

Wearing; black polo neck, black thermal leggings, trousers, socks. Black long cardi. Black comfy lace ups and in a minute navy wool coat, green and lavender scarf and olive water proof hat.

Umbrellas are not much use here, to save hair, waterproof hats are a thing.

Raining here as well today, so don't think I'll be going out if I can help it. Therefore I'm staying comfy in navy trousers and peach jumper, with no adornments. Oh and peach, grey and pink stripey socks (I do love stripey socks!)

Not venturing far today either so: my slippers!! navy and grey striped hoody with bright pink lining (sainsbury's), silvery t shirt (M&S), sloggis (were white once) and a new bra which is cream and coffee with a touch of pink and slightly scratchy.

Levi straight leg jeans (rolled up above ankles. Brown ankle boots with black lace trimmed socks. Black long sleeved tee with a long maroon and black sweater that has pointed bits on it. Oh and a narrow rainbow knitted scarf and rainbow beaded necklace.

Tan coloured cord jeans, pale grey long sleeved t shirt under poncho style slouchy jumper.
Tan fitflop suede deck shoes, but will put boots on for going outside

Out with girls this afternoon
Blue crimplene frock stayed
clean ish under me pinny yesterday.
So that'll be do with matching jacket.
Not sure if I will sling the fox over me shoulder its a bit dusty on top of wardrobe.
Got a nice red handbag and matching pair of comfy red sling backs as by afternoon ankles get a bit swollen.
As its peeing down raining I'll take plastic brolly (one like the Queen mum had, bless her soul).
Best make the most of it,

Denim jeans, cream 3/4 sleeve t-shirt and socks with an owl on the toe. Green long cardi somewhere nearby.

I'm not an undertaker NotTooOld but if I decide to make a late career change that might be the obvious choice. I've got a lot of black trousers, tops and a black jacket. I'd just have to buy a top hat.

Linen shirt tunic, white with grey stars. Long silver grey cardigan. Mid grey jeans. M and S Black suede flat shoe boot that I bought new this morning in the charity shop for £5 with label still on at £49.50. They are perfect.

Am in blue today, in fact much in my wardrobe is some shade of blue, it just happens!

Today I've been wearing black trousers (again, not the same ones though) and a long fuschia jumper with a scarf.

I bought some blue boots todqay as well (does that mean I am a Tory? )
Or does it just mean that I liked them, they are more trendy than my usual footwear and they are comfy.
Must wear them with my navy trousers and blue top tomorrow.

I wear far too much blue so went mad the other day and bought a pair of olive green trousers and a pale green t shirt - wearing both with a black cardi and feeling very out of my comfort zone!

My friend always calls it 'a good bottoming'. She does a lot more 'bottoming' than I do, her house has always been like a new pin.

I tend to work from the top down because if you work from the bottom then start dusting and cobwebbing high up the bottom could get dirty again.

Still in bed so jimjams with a white top and pink bottoms. When DH wakes up we will have a cup of tea. Then I shall be wearing a white top with a brown stain probably

My lovely deep red fleecy dressing gown and my grey striped "Next" pyjamas.

I will change before going out to our knitters pub lunch .
