Thank-you farview. It's so lovely watching him with his two little girls. He missed so much of the 4 yr olds first years. Gives me a huge lump in my throat.

That's beautiful NannyTee?

My DS who I nearly lost in 2016 due to Meningitis/Encephalitis, has just given me GC number 8. A little pink bundle.

Congratulations to all new Grannies/Grandads. Lovely news. I don't think there will be any more in our family; hopefully not here in Oz where there are already 4 (+2 puppies). The noise level is horrendous and the washing like grows daily. How DD remains relatively composed and sane I don't know!....DD3 always wanted 5; she changed her mind after no.2 grin. DD1 would love another, (so long as it was a girl) but with 2 boys and stepmother to 2 older boys, financial restraints prevent more... I shall just have to enjoy hearing all about the new GN babies

I'm so happy for you all, especially those of you with brand new grand babies to cuddle. But I'm also slightly envious too because sadly there's little likelihood of any more babies in our family sad. Well, not for another generation anyway!
Congratulations to you all, enjoy the little ones smile

Thank you and congratulations to Daddima and Tiredoldwoman.
DD and DGD are still in hospital, hopefully may be home tonight. Haven't seen them yet as 100 mile round trip and want to spend time in their home rather than a rushed visit to hospital. I am desperate for a cuddle !!!

Congratulations to you also Daddima ???

NotTooOld Sat 06-Jan-18 17:38:12

Sadly, I don't think there will be an more grandbabies in our family. DD was tempted but decided to stick with two. DS was not remotely tempted although DDiL might have been!

Daddima Sat 06-Jan-18 17:35:27

GA We are expecting a baby girl in May it will be first baby for DS1s wife and his second daughter (eldest is 19)
Also in April DGS2 and his wife are expecting my 2nd GGC but we don't know the gender as yet they are keeping it a surprise this time,so I have a busy year ahead.
To everyone expecting new arrivals all my many congratulations

silverlining48 Sat 06-Jan-18 13:00:06

A few of my friends and acquaintances have just had gc, all about the same time. trouble is i keep forgetting the names so i have to refer to them as 'the baby'. I should have kept a note at the time of course. Too late to ask now so i try to pick up clues.
Congratulation to all waiting new births.

My grandson is making me a Great Gran in May with a little girl. The paid for an additional scan as they wanted to know the gender of the baby - for me that takes the surprise out of it.

harrigran Sat 06-Jan-18 09:32:48

Many congratulations.
We will not be having any more GC but it is lovely to hear about new arrivals.

tiredoldwoman Sat 06-Jan-18 08:25:59

Niobe Sat 06-Jan-18 08:20:39

DS and DDiL expecting a little boy in May. Time seems sooo slow at the moment!

Nelliemoser Sat 06-Jan-18 08:17:47

We don't seem to have had many new babies for about three years now.
At one time there were lots of grand babies being born to our GNers.
