What did other people think of Meghan's hat? Not keen myself.

Hm999 Wed 27-Dec-17 10:33:23

I thought she looked chic but subtle. Loved the colours. Liked the hat.

The browns didn't look like a mirror of Kate, so they looked like they complemented each other in the photos.

And yes, all 4 looked very happy

Reminded me of my grandson's favourite character.☺

Kate isn't a fairly senior royal, she is no 3 in the female group married to no 2 in the male group , perhaps no 3,

Havnt seen it, how come you all have??

Teddy123 Wed 27-Dec-17 10:43:46

Fabulous hat! She's very, very stylish. Great coat too, elegant and understated. I especially like her longer length clothes ....

Teddy123 Wed 27-Dec-17 10:45:39

silverlining on every news channel!

Oh! on the tv! clearly have been too busy playing parlour games and Supervising the kitchen staff.

I'm just glad I'm not from that particular extended family. I couldn't bear living in a goldfish bowl, criticised for whatever you do, say or wear. I hate hats but thought it quite suited Meghan!

NannyTee Wed 27-Dec-17 11:05:51

Thought it was nasty that the net said it looked like the poo emoji.

Aepgirl Wed 27-Dec-17 11:12:17

Give the girl a chance. Let's face it, I doubt if she has ever needed to wear a hat before in her 'previous life'.

GabriellaG Wed 27-Dec-17 11:21:58

Hmm. My view wasn't accepted by MailOnline when replying to their article.
It did look rather like those joke-shop squirls kids used to buy ( my son did anyway and got banned from a local mini-market angry)
Meghan's boots looked very wide on the calf (not meant to be like that) but her legs are very thin...stork-like.
I thought Catherine looked fabulous.

lovebeigecardigans1955 Wed 27-Dec-17 11:27:03

I quite like the hat and brown is one of my favourite colours BUT it has to be said that this poor woman will be criticised for the rest of her life due to her choice of hat, type of hat or not hat at all.
I count myself lucky that I have the freedom to go out of my house in my drab brown hat and no-one will give a tinker's cuss about it.

GabriellaG Wed 27-Dec-17 11:27:54

Manner

It did, there is no hiding that fact. Are we supposed to only say sugar-coated things if they are not true and not what we really think? When you ask for an opinion, do you not want the truth?
I'm from the north. If people can't hack hearing a truthful answer then don't ask the question. That last sentence is NOT directed at YOU. It's merely talking as a generality.

Overdressed and overpaid, the lot of ‘em.
Queenie is pretty good tho’. Nice old gal.

adaunas Wed 27-Dec-17 12:03:47

I’m with you Wildswan. I’m certain some people would not like my choice of clothes, colours, hats, but thank heavens they keep their comments to themselves.

Manda Wed 27-Dec-17 12:05:11

Hear hear! Meghan looked smart, her hat was fine, she observed the expected protocols cheerfully. End of story.

gagsy Wed 27-Dec-17 12:10:23

Putting your tongue out is not forgivable

IngeJones Wed 27-Dec-17 12:12:32

gagsy, I surmised that some little kiddy was doing it and she was socialising with him at his own level. We all do that with little kids don't we? Before they're old enough to understand social etiquette?

OldMeg Wed 27-Dec-17 12:21:17

Loved the hat. Just that bit understated and different.

eazybee Wed 27-Dec-17 13:47:00

I want the coat, I want the boots, not bothered about the bag, and know I would look ridiculous in the hat, but thought she looked good. Stylish.

NannyTee Wed 27-Dec-17 13:54:10

Well I've never seen Harry looking so happy so jolly good look to them. Hat or no hat, she's a pretty girl. No-one can take that from her.

Cubagran Wed 27-Dec-17 14:05:05

Loved Kate's coat. Meghan looked very chic. And I was expecting my second baby at 36! First was 3 yrs old. But my younger sister was a grandmother at 36!

NannyTee Wed 27-Dec-17 14:42:15

Wow I thought I was young at 42 smile

Harris27 Wed 27-Dec-17 14:57:26

Think whatever she does it won't be right hope she knows what she's letting herself in for!

Smithy Wed 27-Dec-17 14:58:44

She's still a young woman in my eyes, having to very quickly learn the ways of the royals, doing very well at it. I thought she looked great and my daughter has coat envy!
