Young children and Christmas day

My son had a bike for Christmas, he was about four. He thought the tricks the older boys did came with the bike!

This is a story about a friend of mine. If she posts on here , sorry I have hijacked your story.

Her young daughter dearly wanted a real goat for Christmas. Despite being told it was impossible in a small terraced house, she kept hoping.
Her brother had a BMX for Christmas, disguised on Christmas Eve with a blanket. On Christmas morning my friend's daughter was first in the living room. She saw a goat with horns in the corner covered by a blanket. She was so, so, disappointed when the horns turned out to be the handlebars of her brother's bike. Bless her

when my D was 4 she wanted a dolls pram,it was bought an dput away until the big day and when asked about what she was getting we spelled it ...P R A M .On Christmas morning she was delighted with everything she gor but when her grandparents all arrived and asked her waht she got she told them she got a pram and a doll and a game etc etc and she finished with but I didn't get my P R A M .Wee soul thought it was something Santa Claus had forgotten ...lol

When GS was small he there was a huge heap of presents under the tree and as DD2 started to help him unwarp some he burst into tears and was inconsolable for some time - juts completely overwhelmed.

Aged about 6-7 DD was totally underwhelmed when she unwrapped the dolls house her dad had spent hours making and painting right up until 12.30 am Christmas morning.
"Oh it's a house" she said as she walked away.
