Since I was a child I have wondered what happened to the Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh. As the story goes on Mary & Joseph do not appear to have hidden wealth. I remember discussing this with our 'friend of the family' Minister and he admitted he hadn't a clue from the Bible, but had decided that this was probably what funded the 'Escape into Egypt' episode.

How true. Love it!

I have to admit I'd never considered what happened to the King's gifts. That's certainly a possible solution - just like fleeing refugees have to fund their escape. I think that's a very interesting idea that's rarely, if ever, mentioned.

A friend sent this to me, it goes around every year. She suggested that the two of us would have done a good job and asked me for suggestions of a third!

Looking forward to the annual local program tonight of children's understanding of the nativity. Most of them on the preview this morning were saying gold, Frankenstein and myrrh

I really miss going to the infants nativity play, with grandaughters age 18 and 19 it's a far distant memory.?

I was in our local M&S the other day and they had "frankincense and myrrh" room perfume diffusers at half price so I bought one. I'm not that sure I even like it. I'd have preferred the gold.
