Easter, a moveable feast

Yes, Easter is a movable feast. As a general rule, Easter falls on the first Sunday, following the first full moon after 21. March. But not always. It is one of those things between heaven and earth. There doesn´t always have to be a reason.

Oh goody, will look forward to Easter, it means spring is around the corner. (Hopefully they won’t ever make Easter fall on the same weekend or it won’t be Easter will it? Pretty sure it has more significance than a few cream eggs and hot cross buns).

Does that mean that Easter comes twice in a year?

This has been discussed at intervals for many centuries, but has never happened.

In the 1920's there was an Act of Parliament passed fixing the date of Easter. But it never got the Royal Assent. So it just sits there......

Having just spotted Hot Cross Buns in Waitrose this afternoon, I wonder whether it has moved to December?
