kitty love the photo of Lottie. I'm sure she's angelic all the time
Who's Controlling The Straits of Hormuz?
Here we are again
Happy as can be
All good friends and jolly good company.
Never mind the weather
Never mind the rain
As long as we're together -
Woops we go again.
WELCOME!

kitty love the photo of Lottie. I'm sure she's angelic all the time
soop. I bet you wouldn’t change sleet, snow, cold wind for boring suburbia. I know I wouldn’t. I envy you those wonderful sunsets and the lovely views. Keep warm and well.
Kitty, Lottie looks angelic. I have a Lottie too (now in her 40’s). Can’t believe she’s a terror.
Afternoon all !
The decorating continues apace here - and by apace I mean we put up some tinsel. Then Grampy ran out of steam !
I am fed up with it all already and can only wonder at how many weeks it will take to take all the darn stuff down again!!
I am apparently a 'difficult diabetic' according to my doctor this morning who tried to persuade me to go on the Michael Mosely Blood Sugar Diet - 800 calories a day!!!!! I ask you ????/
I can't tell you my reply because I'm a lady ;-) So Slimming World it is then!!
I love the photo Kitty what an angelic little face.
I do love a bit of snow Grey but only from indoors ;-)
We are off to a Christmas Fair tomorrow afternoon weather permitting , I shall take photos . Its all outside so I doubt we will linger long but its the village one so would like to support it.
Have a lovely evening all.
I didn't make the costume, soop! I'm hopeless at most things but I'm quite good at breeding capable daughters!
There hasn't been room for us at any nativity this year but I'm most upset to miss Lottie's sister singing a solo next week. Their mother has a good voice too - told you I was good at breeding them!
I'd like to know the answer to that clue too. DH and I photocopy the Times Crossword and race each other to do it. We sometimes even finish it.
Stay warm everyone. Have you all noticed how much I'm posting today. I'm actually supposed to be doing the Christmas cards.
A terror, kitty? Who would believe it. She certainly looks as if they chose the right part for her, bless her!
I shall be in a total two and eight this weekend as the weather threatens to throw all plans into disarray. GS is supposed to be coming here tommorrow but we are promised snow in apocalyptic proportions on Saturday night/Sunday morning and I am worried that he might be marooned here all weekend (not that that would bother us in the slightest, but it might make life difficult for everyone else if he can’t get home!). It looks wonderful on Christmas cards, but that is where I want it to stay!
I'm logging off. I need to put an extra blanket on the bed. What's more...I need to look out the thermal bed socks.
Stay cosy and safe. I shall return tomorrow.

A red blood cell. That's what the word means. Who'd have thought it. I'm guessing that Elegran would have known.
kitty Lottie really does look angelic. I love her plaits. Did you make her outfit? If so, it's perfect for the role.
The weather has been very mixed throughout the day. Snow, sleet, hail, wind. In between...sunshine and calm. The ferry is still making the crossing to the islands. We've no snow here but just three miles away it was a tricky drive into the village, which lies in the hollow.
We've visited our pal in the care home. When we do so, we start the crossword together. When we leave, he has his dictionary at hand and enjoys the challenge of finishing it. One clue stumped us. Erythrocyte. I'm about to look it up in the thesaurus.
When I logged into GN just now, a photo flashed up on the screen and I thought straight away that looks like paw. Sure enough it was but who was the attractive young lady with him? Well maw what a stunner you were (and probably still are). It is a beautiful photo. A lovely young couple just starting out. 51 years is a long time to spend with someone you love. No wonder you miss him so
Sar53 The sex, thus far, remains a mystery. I like that way best.
Lovely photo maw and lovely that you found each other then and had such a happy marriage. Wonderful memories for you to look back on.
Quiet day in store today after yesterday. We took DGS (aged 21/2) and his mum to the pantomime yesterday. It was a longer performance than we’d expected but he did really well. We think he enjoyed it, though there were quite a lot of “I go home now?” remarks but he did enjoy the music and clapped along with everyone else and even joined in with the “behind you!” calls. One tired little boy went home with his mum, hopefully having had as good a day as we did.
Good morning all !
Its a bright and sunny one here !
What a lovely, lovely picture Maw . That's one to treasure.
We are still soldiering on with the bloody Christmas decorations here ! Grampy has narrowly missed the whole leg of lamb scenario but its been touch and go.
Other than that , its a bleurgh kind of day, nothing good ( nothing bad I hope) so back later to catch up on you all.
That's is so lovely, Maw! Happy memories. I hope you slept!
Oh Maw that’s such a poignant post and very gorgeous picture.
Lovely picture, maw. How wonderful to remember the day you met. Afraid I haven’t a clue. Wishing you a better night. I was awake too, resisted the lure of the iPad. I think sometimes of the difference I could have made if only I could have slept
. Sleep well fellow insomniacs.
Let’s hope you have a better night Maw. That’s such a lovely picture.
What a lovely picture, Maw.
The pair of you look young enough to be around 15 years of age. It is a lovely photo. I do hope that you have a better night's sleep tonight. I know that Hattie did not know Paw all that well because of his hospital admissions but she will also be feeling lonely.
Sweet photo, maw. I wish you a sleep tight night
I’ll second that, Maw. If it doesn’t happen, I will be sending you kindest thoughts through the ether. Lovely photograph of a handsome couple!
Aw Maw, what a lovely photo. I hope you rest easier tonight x
I hope you and me both get a better night’s sleep greyduster! I was still awake at nearly 2 this morning, brain buzzing, complicated by the fact that somehow my mobile had locked itself out of my gmail account and kept telling me to sign in, but WHERE?
Anyway, I think this was what I had been going to post when the old kitchen closed.
(Some of you may have seen it in FB as I was marking our “anniversary”.)
“51 years ago tonight this boy and this girl met at a party in their first term at St Andrews.
They lived happily ever after until we said our final farewells on Monday in Sherington churchyard.
Rest in Peace dearest Paw 1947-2017”
Evening all!
Bet you can’t wait Sar53 ! I did laugh at your smoke alarm tale ! Shame there was no video;-)
I can’t go without my sleep Grey so you have my sympathy.
We’re still putting up decorations ? , let’s not discuss that!
Early night for me - sending sleep to you all!
