All good friends and jolly good company.

Beautiful, beautiful baby soop, congratulations to you all. Our grandchildren are still too young to even think about being a ggp, in our hearts we don’t think we will see it but you never know. Oh dear, and then news of such a sad death. Sending hugs to you and macs, condolences to you both and to the wider family. Those Christmas memories will become so special.

Flipping cold here today but beautifully sunny all day so not complaining. Had an unexpected and very welcome visit from our daughter in law and the granddaughters this morning, fortunately we had managed to get up before they arrived. We then took ourselves off for a beach walk and a long, warm sit down with a cuppa. Been faffing with goodness knows what since, a good day here.

Not long for those cuddles sar, you’ve been very patient. A very special moment to come.

You sure your spotty room isn’t the latest decorating style n&g? Could be a new trend? Ignore it if you can, maybe low lighting is the way to go.

I’m sure I overdose on dual defence. I’ve only got to hear a sneeze in the distance and out it comes. I foolishly agreed to go in a plane later this year and already have a new one waiting to take with me. Obsessed with it grin.

Oh well, it seems the oven is calling, there’s an almost over cooked smell wafting about if you know what I mean.

Stay warm everyone.

Just quickly popping in to say quick congratulations to soop and MacS what lovely news. Definitely an excuse for even more champagne!

grannyqueenie Sun 07-Jan-18 20:48:15

Sorry soop I have just looked a bit more closely, I’m sorry you’ve also had such sad news too. Life can be very unpredictable at times, one part of the family rejoicing in a new life whilst others grieve ? xx

MawBroon Sun 07-Jan-18 22:23:49

Oh Soop what a mixture of joy and sorrow.
It is true that “The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away ” is it not?
Congratulations and joy on the safe arrival of your little DGGD and every sympathy for your loss.
The danger of organ failure following sepsis is something I have been made all too aware of before now. Sepsis is a very real threat especially to the frail or elderly. But what a dreadful shock for his family. flowers

kitty, sar and Ann we too have a Charlotte aka Lotta and there is nothing remotely sedate or princessy about her. She’s a real character, can be very entertaining and could change the world if she set her mind to it...move over Teresa May, Lotta has been on the school council and knows a thing or two about politics!

Many congratulations soop on the birth of your DGGD ? but at the same time commiserations on the unexpected death in the family.

Lovely photo of Hattie maw, doing what greyhounds do best

Oh my! I don't know whether I'm a comin' or goin'. So much excitement. So many things to do and seemingly so little time in which to do it. You lot will understand and make allowances for my silly frame of mind. hmm
First thing to do is put the painting of the fawn into it's frame, pack it well and post to the new parents.

It's a glorious day. The scene through the window is all sparkly with frost. I shall return as soon as I have collected my thoughts and calmed down...grin

soop Mon 08-Jan-18 15:02:02

Maw Awww! grin

I'm finishing off a watercolour which I need to mount this afternoon and post tomorrow to Torben. We now have the frames for the new baby paintings. Need to post one to the new parents - also tomorrow. Have a calendar for callgirl1 Also to post tomorrow. It's all go!

That’s beautiful Soo, just beautiful. Happy days always yo the new arrival and condolences for the bereavement. Please excuse me in your kitchen; was feeling a little down, thought I’d have a nightcap. The port was just gorgeous so I’ve had a few (large) nightcaps, not something I usually do at all, plus a cheese toastie and am now in my bed. Still not sleepy but feel a bit Ridley. Must be that mozzarella ?

MesMopTop Mon 08-Jan-18 15:17:01

Tiddley, not Ridley. Flipping auto writing!

harrigran Mon 08-Jan-18 15:35:36

Many congratulations soop just seen reference to the new baby.
