Knickers or pants

I thought drawers were called that because they had draw strings to hold them up before the invention of elastic....and also had an open crotch for convenience...

Pants, I always think old ladies wear knickers.. In our family the men always wear boxers, not pants.
"Panties", sounds quite pervy.

Briefs sounds like a coy euphemism to me.

Knickers or as my granddaughter's say-knick knacks! Panties..yuk?

Pants, tho I probably don't have cause to say it out loud very often! The word does sound a bit, well, pants. I wish there was a nicer one, without the connotations of the existing alternatives.

I do sometimes just say underwear these days though .
