What makes you go "Yuk!" ?

Eating a school dinner opposite a child with a runny nose. ESP. custard or rice pud.
Why do supermarkets have the meat counter covered yet not the fish? Never understood this.
I can’t abide treading in dog poo, I have to throw the shoes away.
Good post this, but far too close to my evening meal. I am amazed at how many make me feel quite ill.

This reminds me of the story about the old man who sucked all the coating of his sugared almonds then gave the bag of nuts to his home help, ?

I have a friend who will never eat a slice of Birthday Cake.
She says the cake has been spat on when the candles were being blown out.

We have a cat and a dog, don’t think we are too unhygienic .... but increasingly those of us who take our dogs out are coming across human faeces in the park. We think that some of the footballers and walkers don’t feel like walking all the way to the loos.

It’s also pretty gross when we see nappies filled with faeces left on park benches.

Oh, and yes ...... joggers and runners in the park who spit and cough phlegm up.

People who drink beer, etc straight from the bottle. I have seen crates of beer waiting to be taken inside a pub and being weed on by a passing dog!

Not seen it for a while, but can remember refusing to buy an item after the cashier licked fingers to open a plastic bag to put it in - I don't want someone's saliva with my food...when bagging stuff, for the freezer for instance, I wet fingers under tap and open any bags I might need before starting.

I used to work in a home for special needs adults. Now poop never bothered me but vomit did. I was always terrified of it as a child and it's stuck with me . Weird hey ?

My friend had two visitors whose personal hygiene is not good. They both took off their socks so that the dog could lick their feet. If I’d been there I’d have had to leave. Definitely yuk.

My dog used to lick my feet it was so relaxing, sorry!

Slugs make me go yuk, but I feel a bit mean because they can't help being slugs.

Dogs licking faces or any other parts of humans - ugh.

I wash my hands when I get home from anywhere, and usually change into slippers for comfort. Unless I have encountered dog poo I don’t worry about the hygiene of shoes - never really thought about it.

When I was ill as a child my cat used to sleep on my bed, frequently under the eiderdown. The doctor was surprised when he encountered it, but he didn’t forbid it. He had he sense to know it comforted me.

I remember when my son was small, he run to us in the park to show what he´d found, he opened his palm (he was wearing mittens at the time) and showed us some frozen dog poo. My husband insisted that I throw the mittens out, I just laughed and put them in the wash. I´d have spent a fortune if I threw childrens´s clothing out everytime it came into contact with something unsavoury.

Not at all. I don't think of germs at all just a Yuk with me . But then my medication gives me a weak tum

public loos, I try to avoid using them. but if I have to then I always hang my bag on a hook rather that put it on the floor, operate flush and door handles with a piece of loo paper or my sleeve/elbow. If I do have to use one I absolutely have to use the shower/bath/bidet before the day is out. I would rather go behind a bush.

Yes your own grandchildren and your own pets is fine. I'm just fed up of scooping up the cat filth of the streets cats. It's not nice and my GC have ran through it many a time in the summer because I missed the odd one .

Gilly scientist on tv said children picking nose and eating it are building up good immune systems . Love the story of dog licking teeth .i don't like dogs or cat licking out cups etc or faces . I used to hate it when my dc stepped in dog poo that would make me retch.

If you have had children or grandchildren and changed dirty nappies I don't see how picking up dog poo can be any worse than that. Much nicer than getting it on your shoes. I used to hate clearing vomit but having children put paid to that, and I got used to it. The thing I really do hate is B O and bad breath

Help yourself open salad bars in some pubs and restuarants. Yuk ! The thought of people beathing , sneezing, coughing etc. over food.

Nothing makes me go 'yuk!' particularly although I was pretty sickened by my son in law ignoring my grandson vomiting everywhere and in distress last week whilst screaming at my daughter 'get your clothes off, they're contaminated!' I detest over the top OCD behaviour like that and I also blame all the allergies people have now on too much anti-bac hysteria.
