I agree astra, best to get more than one quote and if at all possible ask to speak to previous customers. Our (only) bathroom re-fit took two working weeks. All sanitary ware was replaced and the shower moved. Floors and walls were tiled. The tiling took the longest. At one point the toilet came out at 8am, was stationed in the front garden as that was the nearest exit then went back at 4pm. We went out a lot and got to know the toilets in the local pub and supermarket very well. Our neighbours also kindly offered use of their bathroom. We used a shower at our daughter in laws home, a 20 minute drive. The water supply to the rest of our home was rarely off. I’d suggest waiting until the Spring if you can. These things are easier in warmer weather. Our plumber was meticulous, took his time, checked that his understanding was correct before he did anything that couldn’t be undone. It was well worth it, don’t worry too much, but do get more than one quote and go for someone with understanding of working in a home, rather than someone used to a building site.
