Just would like to say thank you for the support I received from Gransnetters. I put a thread on here a little while ago. I was fed up with not being taken seriously by my GP as everything I said was put down to my age. I was encouraged by gransnetters to persevere and returned to the GP 3 times and eventually got to see a surgeon for a colonoscopy. I got the results yesterday and not only did it reveal diverticulitis but also an adenomatous polyp... the type that can develop into cancer. It has been removed and I am now on a 2 yearly surveillance. I am so relieved it wasn't cancer but the root was there. God knows what could have happened. I am also so grateful that you have taken me seriously and advised accordingly. Love to you all.
