It's those warm wet westerly winds I learnt about in school, Annie. The theory doesn't actually work that well in Norfolk though, they've pretty much dried off usually by the time they get here.

I can’t believe this thread is still going - aiming for the cut off? (I’ve just got in from gardening too - tee shirt only earlier but it’s getting dark and very windy and dark clouds are coming in fast from the west. Must be Welsh rain heading in, I’m too far south for the Scottish stuff.)

I like hanging washing out to dry too. I don't get the chance to as often as I'd like in western Scotland cos of the bloody rain.

I actually hate nativity scenes. Well, hates too strong a word. I think they are naff and unrealistic and, what's more, I always did even when I was a child. Natural scepticism and a dose of realism, I guess.

MissA I have just got my washing in, its all dry and it was only put out a couple of hours ago. One would think it was summer.

Hope they have returned to their normal size before Christmas dinner. They might shrink again.

Well, its sunny here. I have just put my washing on the line. Its actually fairly warm, which is good because my coat (and all my other clothes!) seem to have shrunk.
