I also popped into a very well-known Craft Shop and they had run out of C*******s fabric (daren't mention the word now) and the helpful sales assistant said that some of the fabric they had had in was pink with flamingoes on it.

We went to see Paddington Bear 2 (the cinema was full of people our age; well, not full, but not a child to be seen). Hilarious, Hugh Grant was brilliant as were all the cast and well worth seeing.

I love those knitted or crocheted nativity crib scenes.

My intention was to make the whole nativity scene this year for the DGD (the one I did was for U3A) but I have done precisely nil since then.

I was a vegetarian for quite a few years, but I'm afraid a bacon sandwich seduced me.
I keep thinking I may try again: its probably much easier now than it was years ago when there was barely any choice of veggie stuff.

I love seeing lambs gambolling in the fields. I love eating lamb meat. Roast lamb might even be my favourite meat.

I suppose because we raised chickens and rabbits for the table and my best friend lived on a pig farm with cute piglets running around I've sort of grown up being used to eating them. But it has made me very aware of animal husbandry and the horrors of factory farming.

I feel exactly the same as you Anniebach . We used to have a caravan in Northumberland right near a farm and loved watching the little lambs wearing their little plastic bag coats. We used to take our little (first born) granddaughter to watch them and it made me feel sick to think they would soon be on someone's plate . Haven't touched lamb for nearly 12 years.

Which bit Silver? It's been a wonderfully balmy sunny day here after a dull start. Very windy now though. You should get some really good scenic seas if you're around Sheringham or Cromer.

I cooked sausage and mash for my grandsons yesterday, as suggested by sliverlining, and thought I would get really fancy, so wrapped bacon around them (the sausages, not the grandsons!)
My oldest grandson went to great lengths to unwrap the bacon in case it had any fat on it.

I hate pigs in blankets but DH insists on having them on his Christmas dinner. Likewise that red cabbage slop . Gross .

I can't eat baby lambs .

We are off go Norfolk tomorrow for a visit to friends in the north of the county. Am rather hopeful that weather will be as pleasant there as it has been here in the south east.
Keep the sprouts on nfk, then if we are passing we might drop in. Sprouts are quite a favourite.

I don't eat lamb , try seeing them skipping around a field or running after their Mummies as often as I have, not easy to eat then
