Maw
Amen. May he rest in peace.
My sincere condolences to you and your family.
Oh Maw how sad I am to hear that news, I had been dreading to hear it but now it has come, my heart is full for you all.
My sincerest condolences to you and your family, you have so many memories and I pray you will find a little comfort in them.
Kindest thoughts to you all in the next few days and the coming weeks.
Our darling Paw slipped away entirely peacefully at 1 p clock this morning, surrounded by the people who loved him and whom he loved best in the world.
Paw go forth upon your journey from this world,
in the name of God the Father almighty who created you;
in the name of Jesus Christ who suffered death for you;
in the name of the Holy Spirit who strengthens you;
in communion with the blessed saints,
and aided by angels and archangels,
and all the armies of the heavenly host.
May your portion this day be in peace,
and your dwelling the heavenly Jerusalem.
All
Amen.
Maw, all my best wishes to you and Paw, hope you manage a good sleep tonight.
Cornergran, all was peaceful last night, thank goodness, and we`ve heard nothing all day today, we`re wondering if they`ve all moved out, but it would be unusual, because the house is rented out as separate rooms.
I hope that all went well today soop and MacSporran and that you enjoyed your fish and chips lunch.
Maw I hope that you will be able to have a restful night at home.
Oh maw just seen your post. So sorry to hear you are again going through such a worrying time. You and paw will certainly be in my prayers and thoughts. I hope they can find the cause for this latest problem and help it to stop happening again. It must have been a really frightening time for you.
soop and MacS hope your day goes well.
? Wave to everyone else. So many lovely people in the kitchen now it's hard to keep up and reply to everyone. Hope all those feeling poorly feel better soon ?
Just popped in for a check on everyone.
Re match[pots, we have had a decorator back about 2 months later because we ignored both Nagging Doubt and Miss Givings - just saying!! Mostly though, I suggest something, Dh poo poos the idea and eventually decides I was right all along. Latest example of this - curtains in the children's rooms, red walls in the lounge and the deep pink wall in the 'playroom' . They should just learn - shouldn't they.
I'll try to keep an eye on goings on but we are going to a Jazz concert in Coventry (why?) but at least I get a meal on the way! DH's latest Jazz thing is going to the North Sea Jazz Festival - which sounds flipping cold and wet to me!! Hey ho!!
Take care everyone and don't do too much, I can't keep up!!
Morning all !!
Just back from our daily run to the charity shop, the recycling centre and breakfast ( it would have been rude not too !!) AND.....fanfare please....the heating after 2 days and a swift kick in the boiler was chugging away merrily !!!
Which is a relief as the 6...yes SIX companies we called never bothered to return our call and it was getting a tad chilly! We do have a man coming out tomorrow anyway but he's not a specialist but at least he bothered to return our call.
Yes I saw the chicken and pea traybake Maw and I did think it looked interesting but after your description I think Ill give it a miss.
How's the matchpotting going grey do you need reinforcements ( quite honestly ill go anywhere for a warm !!) Do not give in to serious doubt, the first one will be the best!! I am buying blinds this morning for the bedrooms and I have made a decision based on future decorating lol !! Everything here is only getting done once !!
Love the deer photo soop we aspire to that :-)
I think it may well have been on the blink Oldgoat but we don't have a leg to stand I suspect ( I did my research as our buyers are trying to pull a fast one so thought I should check the legal status)
Just caught up Maw so sorry to hear Paw has taken a turn for the worse, you must be beside yourself. I believe in the man upstairs so I shall send a prayer for his recovery. Glad you managed a little sleep.
I now have to go and fill in the 7 page form for registering with a new GP. We told the lady we needed to register and she asked where we lived ( 500 yards down the road) and she was surprised we were in her 'catchment area' - not sure what to make of that but figured if I'm proper poorly I could crawl 500 yards if necessary!!
Greyduster I am the entire opposite, I make a decision and stick with it.
I bought a new freezer recently and the fellow who owned the shop could not believe that I did not want to go home and contemplate it for 24 hours or more.
He likes to see my appearance because he knows I have done my research and I am there to purchase. Two happy bunnies.
Another quick visit. Out all day yesterday, nice day but its so easy to lose track of the kitchen. I've been thinking about maw and paw and also hoping soop and macs had a troube free journey, will enjoy lunch and the outcome be as good as it can be.
So sorry, can't respond to everyone I would like to, apologies. Must tell n&g how lovely those photos are of their lovely granddaughter.
greyd hold tight to your conviction. The paint will be wonderful.
. If Mr C would agree we would also get a decorator when rooms need doing, grannyq, the stubborn man won't consider it.
Hoping things have quietened down with your neighbour callgirl, that sort of noise isn't funny.
So pleased your trip out was fun anne also that both you and the dentist survived charley.
Must be off, there's not enough day for the tasks. Please looks after yourselves.
I sympathise with your constant companion Nagging Doubt putting his fillings in Grey. Mine is called Miss Givings and she often puts her twopennorth in when least needed.
I am sure your paint choice will be just fine and if it's not, well they still sell gallons of different colours don't they? What colour is the chosen one?
Thinking of soop and macsporran especially on their long and winding road trip today and hoping for positive news on their return.
I've left a special lemon drizzle cake for them on the kitchen table knowing soop's partiality!
soop I hope the day has gone well for you and MacS. I find hospital visits always make me edgy but then to do a weekly shop afterwards, well you're a braver man than I am Gunga Din
(with apologies to Rudyard Kipling)
I, too, forgot to say good luck to Soop and MacS today. I hope she will forgive the lapse.
I am having five quiet minutes before I go and help DH. I posted this morning that we had decided on a colour, but I have now been joined by my almost constant companion, “Nagging Doubt”, who poked me in the back this morning saying “go on, tell him!” And I did. And he was not pleased! ?♀️. So I told ND to sling his hook and we went out and bought The Paint. Matchpots are the work of the Devil!
Dearest Maw so sorry to read the latest information on Paw - so worrying for both of you and so stressful. Have sent prayers to the accompaniment of a weekly practice for the bell-ringers at the church along the road. Also sending love and (((hugs))) - do you have anyone with you during the long hours of waiting for positive news? Other than Hattie and all your GN friends of course

Maw So very sorry to hear about poor paw Hope that he's more comfortable this morning. Thinking of you today and hoping that life will get better for you both some time soon.
X
OMG Maw that is so worrying. I do hope that at least Paw remains stable today. Fingers crossed.
Amongst all the other things going on, I forgot to say good luck to soop. I hope all has gone well as I imagine you won't have read this until your return.
Must dash - meeting DH at Sainsbury's - wish me luck!
Sending very best wishes Maw and hoping this morning finds Paw turning the corner.
Best wishes to Soop and McS for their trip today.
Just seen this Maw - what an awful thing for you both. Can only hope today brings better news.
Wishing you strength and courage to cope as you have done so well for so long. Fingers and everything crossed for you.
Was away all day yesterday, just seen your news maw: sending much love, will be thinking of you both today. Will be back later.
Maw just read yours of 23.43. That must have been so distressing for you both. I am sorry to hear that your dear man is so ill again when he seemed to be doing so much better. I hope there is some better news today.
Thinking of you both Maw and praying things improve.
What a rollercoaster you are on.
Can't believe I have slept for over 3 hours!
Have not heard any more so had a shower and cup of coffee and got dressed ready for what today throws at us.
I've just seen this Maw and hope things are better this morning. I hope you had a decent night's sleep - everything looks better after a good rest. I shall be thinking of you and watching for news.
