Was intrigued by a discussion I heard on Jeremy Vine Show on Radio 2 recently about women only workforces.
Reason being: lots of women felt they were being sexually harrassed by male colleagues.
I thought ...ok! ....BUT....how does this sit with the equal opportunities board? Not that long ago we had male only or male dominated workforces and women demanded and were given equality. Does it not work in reverse? Are the employers in a woman only environment, not discriminating against men then?
Personally, I can't think of anything I would hate more than to work with all women. I've worked for many companies with equal distribution and I can honestly say the most distress I have ever had is from fellow women. They can be bitchy and conniving, hold grudges etc whereas the men said it as it was and then forgot it......
OK am not speaking about high profile positions here, or casting couch directors who can't keep their hands to themselves, just in general ever day working environments.
Maybe I just enjoy male banter? Don't take anything too seriously. What does anyone else feel?
