My OH has a ghost in his bed!

chicken I live in a haunted house but I've never had a ghost in bed with me. Never heard one breathing either, they are dead, aren't they? Does your OH suffer from tinnitus? Just a thought.

Lot of overthinking going on here He’s hearing himself breathing no such thing as ghosts or ghoulies makes a good story though

I have had a cat that was pts a few months earlier walk into my daughters room when she lived with me, the door was closed and the strange thing was i saw it and heard it and she heard its footprints, but it was on thick carpet that cat loved being in that room, , we both looked at each other in amazement

I occasionally wake to hear breathing. Then I realise it is my own!

When I started sleeping alone after getting divorced I often thought I could hear someone else breathing. It took a good few months to realise it was me - I worked it out by holding my breath for a few seconds! I've also often heard someone climbing the stairs, opening my door and then felt them sit on the side of the bed. My sister has heard and felt the same things in her house. It's nothing supernatural, just down to sleep paralysis, which occurs in the transition between being awake and falling asleep. Nothing to worry about.

I.ve had "experiances" too but don.t have any answers.

Have you thought, as he is a snorer (my husband is a snorer- epic proportions), he may well be hearing himself breathing.

Oh madmum38 I often felt the other side of the bed go down and it freaked me out. One night I yelled out' For Gods sake sod off and leave me alone!' Has never happened since. Weird.

Have that a lot myself,feel the bed go down one side first of all,keep thinking it is my husband then I remember he is in a nursing home. Quite worried me at first but our home is a bit busy with things,had someone come in that was researching a book and he said at one side of my room there is a vortex and it is like spaghetti junction with so much coming and going. Never been bothered though,only one time when a knife went across the room and another time was annoying as trying to do washing but the dial on the washing machine just kept on spinning around.

Yes I've heard my own breathing and also a constant banging which I've discovered is my heartbeat. I suppose we should worry if we don't hear them!!

DS who lives with me often has strange experiences which he has to share with me unfortunately, usually in the middle of the night. The latest was that he had a vision of a triangle with an eye inside . This apparently is the 'Third Eye' which we are all supposed to have in the middle of our forehead and is linked with enlightenment, intuition, potential etc if we can use it. He googled all this on his phone before he shared it.

The strange thing was that earlier in the day I had been watching an episode of the 'X Files' which I had recorded and it was about the Third Eye . He was not in the house at the time, nor did I mention it. I hope he is not tuning into my thoughts. I would rather keep those to myself!!!

I have several times heard breathing in this way as I've been dropping off to sleep - only to realise that it was actually my own!

Breathing, cats running across beds, beds shaking, etc will all be part of the time you are just about to drop off to sleep, which is a weird half asleep half awake time and the brain isn’t processing rational thought.Don’t worry about it.?

DH always says he feels the ghost of our daughter's cat running across his bed. The cat died about 15 years ago! He only seems to be half joking.
