Hip replacement

Hello GNs I am just looking for some advice/helpful tips. I learned yesterday that I need a hip replacement. I am now on a 6-8 months waiting list. My physiotherapist told me what to (more or less) expect but I would welcome any helpful tips on how to cope with the post op recovery time.

Ah - maybe yoga is the thing. But last time I tried that the teacher said it was not for me!

OP A most useful tray trolley was available free on loan via the community nurse. She came first to remove the staples after my knee op. Try whoever provides you with the loo frame etc.

I asked the community nurse whether the £50 Argos trolley was a good one to buy. She said I didn’t need to buy one and arranged for one to be delivered in a few days. So useful!
