Naughty but nice

I don't like any sweets apart from dark chocolate. Possibly the result of O D-ing on them as a child and having a mouthful of fillings before I left Primary school.

No sweet tooth at all now, preferring Campari, olives, nuts and crisps.

Well, we are 'naughty' every week ... I love a bag of Sainburys' own fruit jellies (pear ones especially!) and we usually have a bar if chocolate. Whatever happened to 'Old Jamaican Rum and Raisin chocolate by the by?

Sneaky bag of dolly mixtures always welcome too!

I buy DH Toblerone when I want to treat him as it is a chocolate I am not so keen on and he is more likely to keep it for himself!

Chocolate covered dates. Not seen any for ages. I'll just sit here drooling at the thought!

Nut brittle (just like my dad used to bring home every Friday - but he called it 'Nutty slack!).

Sherbet Fountains, Sherbet Lemons, Raspberry Ruffles and Coconut Mushrooms. Chocolate has to be bitterly black or you can share it out amongst you. I'll keep the Bendicks Bitter Mints, but they are not as good as they used to be.

Fondant creams, crunchy on the outside soft on the inside and milk chocolate covered Dates. Can't find either any more. The latter I found years ago in a village shop I had stopped at, on my way home , to buy DH his newspaper. They weighed them out indicating how long ago it was.

I miss the coffee creams in Roses they were lovely!

Terrys Spartan chocolates all hard centres, toffee cushions, red lips, treacle toffee and scotch tablet to name but a few, I have a very sweet tooth!

Remember Callard & Bowsers Butterscotch? Each little ingot beautifully wrapped in gold paper in a small cardboard box - just the right size for a pocket! Nothing's replaced them, more's the pity.

Cough candy,Clarnico mint creams, och and Cadburys Twirls, anything liqourice.

Grays herbal tablets or cough candy. Not the boiled sweet cough candy yuk but the stuff like mint cake. You don't need a cough to enjoy them!

Liquorice Allsorts for me, please, and some lovely buttery fudge. I used lo love chocolate too, but can’t eat it any more ‘cos it seems to taste horribly different.

Like you NANKATE, we don't need anything other than keeping healthy. However on this occasion I shall succumb to a quarter of sherbert pips and maybe some anniseed twists! Yum!
