Such a hard time for you - know that all GNs are thinking of you flowers

So sorry Annie, thinking of you.

Oh Annie how awful for you. I lost one of my little dogs not long ago so I know how you feel. As Maw said she was curled up with the person she loved when she passed away.
What a peaceful way to go. My thoughts are with you flowers

What a bad night for you Annie flowers. Yes, it's the price we pay for having loving pets and always so hard when they go.

As for your daughter's text - for future can you not silence your mobile at night so at least you don't see it until morning. I know it's tempting to look at the phone overnight, if you're half expecting something.

Thinking of you, annie flowers

Oh Annie what a dreadful shock. I am so so sorry.
I can sort of know how you feel, our last greyhound but one ran in from the garden early one morning, ran to her bed and gave a sort of squeak. As I turned round I could see she was sitting down but her front paws just slid to the floor, a couple of pants and she was gone.
I would like to think she knew I was there, but the shock is still so clear in my memory, 10 years on.
Your little dog will have been warm and comfortable curled up next to the human she loved best and just didn’t wake up. Dreadful for you, but what a peaceful way to go.
I often thought that with various dogs and watched them as they slept, as they got old or were in pain that it would be kindest if they just didn’t wake up. Kindest to them, but oh poor poor you.
The abusive text is something you absolutely didn’t need either and without being nosey, might the tummy pain be connected with stress?

Your house will feel very empty and there is no consolation except that your little dog’s passing brought her no pain or suffering. ?[ flowers]

Oh Annie, I am so sorry that you have had such a bad time last night. The loss of your little dog is heartbreaking. Keep talking to her, cuddle her, then let the vet know. Our vet was super kind when we lost our cairn. Love and hugs to you .

flowers - so much all at once. The ladies of Gransnet will be thinking of you.

Annie - I'm so sorry for all your woes. We will never get fed up of listening to you. (((hugs)))

Anniebach Fri 20-Oct-17 08:52:34

You will be fed up of me and my woes.

Bad night, abusive text in night from elder daughter.

Awake for hours because of on going tummy problem.

Woke at seven and my beloved West Highland Terrier , Honeysuckle Rose, is lying right next to my bed, she is dead .

I am not ready for the vet to take her away yet so am lying here talking to her as I do every morning.

I am devastated but it's the price we pay

Annie
