You will be fed up of me and my woes.

Bad night, abusive text in night from elder daughter.

Awake for hours because of on going tummy problem.

Woke at seven and my beloved West Highland Terrier , Honeysuckle Rose, is lying right next to my bed, she is dead .

I am not ready for the vet to take her away yet so am lying here talking to her as I do every morning.

I am devastated but it's the price we pay

Annie

Annie what a sad day. Have you texted your daughter to tell her about the death of your much loved dog? It might give her the opportunity to sympathise and be kinder to you. Sometimes sad events do bring families closer.

DanniRae Fri 20-Oct-17 13:34:08

So sorry Annie to read about all your troubles. I am sending you my love and some flowers xx

I'm so sorry, Anniebach, what a dreadful shock for you, combined with your other troubles. Your little dog must have lived a wonderful life with you, if that's of any comfort. flowers

Annie what a shocking thing to happen to you. I’m so sorry. If you can’t share your woes here, where can you? ???.

What a sad day for you. flowers

So sorry Annie your little Honeysuckle Rose must have been such a comfort to you. At least she died peacefully with you at her side, I sympathise with you as a fellow dog lover. Take time to grieve as our pets are just as much part of our family as our relatives and often love us more.
Turn off your phone at night as someone said.

So sorry to read. Have you anyone in RL who can be with you? Or Maybe talk over the phone in a bit?

Bambam Fri 20-Oct-17 11:56:04

Oh Annie, my heart goes out to you, bless your dear little "girl".
If you can take any comfort at all at this moment, she was lying peacefully and happily next to the person who she loved most in all the World. flowersbrew

So sorry to hear your news. You must be desperately sad and there will be a Westie-shaped gap in your life. They are such clever, affectionate little dogs. Don't apologise for telling us how you feel. Anyone here who has had much loved pets will empathise. ((((hugs))))

Oh , Annie am so sorry.Big hug.

merlotgran Fri 20-Oct-17 10:50:24

So sorry about your dog, Annie but I hope you can be comforted by the fact she died peacefully and as close to you as possible.

One of our Jack Russells lived to be 17 and I found her in the garden lying in the sun under her favourite tree. Once the shock had worn off I was glad she had had a natural end and not a visit to the vet as so often happens.
