Well, I went to have a good old moan in the 'anyone awake' thread, and found it has been closed. So, here is a new one.
I'm awake, I have a headache, I'm at work, so can't go prowling around, and I know tomorrow is going to be a terrible day.

Awake the whole night!!
Had drunken visitors to the block, sitting on the stairs having a lovely old chat they were.
Feeling murderous. angry

Anniebach Thu 15-Feb-18 05:19:39

Poor you MissA, long night , I slept from 12.00 until about 2.30am so had a few hours, problem is I need 7 to 8 hours, forgotten what a full nights sleep is

annsixty Thu 15-Feb-18 05:25:05

Àwake here too.
So tired last night that I came to bed at 8:45pm, but awake several times, now can't get back.
I only visited my H once yesterday ,feel so stressed by it all.
For those who don't know H in hospital after a fall, he has a UTI and is unable to walk or move really.
4 days on he is still not on a ward as hospital full to the rafters. I am so fearful for us both .

BlueBelle Thu 15-Feb-18 05:30:36

Hiya been awake since quarter to four
Sorry to hear your news Annie I hope your husband gets better soon xx take care

Ginny42 Thu 15-Feb-18 05:54:24

I woke up having slept on my hand and leapt out of bed to get the circulation going by waving my arms madly in the air, so now I'm awake!

I'm not surprised you're fearful Ann as UTIs are nasty and given his state of health, that's a worry. Presumably he's in an admissions ward. Once the antibiotics kick in he should improve. It's pointless saying try not to worry, as you will, so just treat yourself with care. Hugs for being brave.

Annie, your body has adjusted to little sleep and will take a while to settle back into old routines. I had acupuncture to push the waking time from 3.00 a.m. towards 6.00. If you can't stand needles, have you tried lavender on your pillow?

Anniebach Thu 15-Feb-18 09:13:49

Ginny , it's the wretched digestive problems which cause loss of sleep and sadness , I haven't adjusted to less sleep , I need to have normal nights without tea and rennies

Ginny42 Thu 15-Feb-18 09:40:51

It will come Annie. It's still very early days for you and it's all still very raw. xx

Anniebach Thu 15-Feb-18 10:18:38

Yes Ginny x

Ginny42 Fri 16-Feb-18 04:43:41

Hope everyone is sleeping. x

cornergran Fri 16-Feb-18 05:42:08

First time for a while but I’ve been wide awake since 4.30. Circular thoughts, can usually move on from them but not tonight so I’ll be reading and listening to music, at least I won’t be bored. Hope everyone else is sleeping.

Bellasnana Fri 16-Feb-18 06:10:13

Hello cornergran. Me too. I know I shall be ready to go back to sleep when it’s time to get up. Looks like it’s going to be a long day. ???

cornergran Fri 16-Feb-18 06:34:32

Indeed it is bellasnana, flipping nuisance. Busy one here too, with luck I won’t notice I’m tired hmm. Hope your day can be a good one.

Anniebach Fri 16-Feb-18 08:25:44

Anniebach Fri 16-Feb-18 09:15:17

wot, yes truly wonderful, first full nights sleep in over a year ,bliss ?

Maggiemaybe Fri 16-Feb-18 09:22:54

Great news, Annie. It will have done you good.

Anniebach Sun 18-Feb-18 04:52:47

Have had two nights sleep, now back to the usual, seems a choice between eating or sleeping. Quiet tonight, this is good, hope everyone is fast asleep

Bellasnana Sun 18-Feb-18 05:20:21

Oh dear, that’s not good, Anniebach. I went through three years of never sleeping more than a couple of hours. It is dreadful and I really feel for you.

I’m up early as I’m travelling to see my two eldest daughters and only granddaughter in the US. I’m in a bit of a state. Usually, take it all in my stride, but just feel panicky and anxious. Hope this will pass once I’m on the way. Taxi due in fifteen minutes.

It’s a long haul, first to London then a four hour wait, then 9hours 40 mins to Florida. Wish me luck grin

Anniebach Sun 18-Feb-18 08:47:39

Bellasnana, the journey doesn't sound enjoyable but at the end of that flight - your daughters and your granddaughter , wonderful, enjoy your time with them , and I wish you luck x

I think the reflection of the snow through the window is keeping me awake. Plus I am just too warm for some reason. Up with a glass of milk and a book. No one seems to have been on this thread for a few nights so it looks like you are all managing to get a good night's sleep. That's good as some of you have been having difficulty sleeping

Anniebach Wed 28-Feb-18 02:52:10

No, I just stopped posting every night , it was so repetitive , still awake every night. Hope the milk helped you get back to sleep.

Shirleyw Wed 28-Feb-18 03:19:53

Morning, been wide awake for a while so made a cuppa , not even worried about anything....soooo annoying.....

NotAGran55 Sat 03-Mar-18 03:54:02

Been awake since 2 . Son is going travelling today to the Far East . Happy for him but I can't help worrying.

Anniebach Thu 15-Mar-18 05:09:33

Night after night , I now dread the nights

cornergran Thu 15-Mar-18 06:28:09

Sorry nights are still bad annie. I wake early but most nights sleep for 6 hours so really can’t complain. Wish there was an answer for you.
