Well, I went to have a good old moan in the 'anyone awake' thread, and found it has been closed. So, here is a new one.
I'm awake, I have a headache, I'm at work, so can't go prowling around, and I know tomorrow is going to be a terrible day.

WilmaKnickersfit Thu 21-Dec-17 04:48:24

Can't keep my eyes open, but I can't drop off either. I lurk on here a lot, but don't post so I can kid myself I'm not really using my tablet. Will try rain sounds now. Sometimes that works. Hope you can get some rest soon peeps. Annie if you're around this is for you {{{HUGS}}}

Nelliemoser Thu 21-Dec-17 04:55:39

Any one else awake. ?????

annsixty Thu 21-Dec-17 05:14:05

Yes Nellie I am.
I am reading and being very quiet as we have an 11 month old puppy here and the slightest noise wakes him and he barks and wakes everyone up.
They go home tomorrow and I maybe will relax then.
Hope you haven't been awake too long.

Nelliemoser Thu 21-Dec-17 05:35:11

I woke for a pee and my back was uncomfortable then I started worriting about what I have left to do for Christmas. Will my son make it on Wednesday when my daughter comes over with the little ones?.
Unnecessary thoughts at this time of night . My 40 yr old son split with his partner about 9months ago but I only got the message in September thanks to my sister in law. DH completely forgot to tell me. DH has Aspergers and had a benign brain tumour and is being increasingly difficult and doing silly things . Hoarding stuff and seems not to be thinking straight. Gets stroppy at nothing much. I know you are having more trouble with your husbands dementia. I am just worrying what might go wrong. a bad habit. May sleep cone our way soon.

I woke at 3 and finally 0530 so not too bad . I work at a residential school for severely autistic young people with multiple challenges and Santa is coming today so i'm blaming my insomnia today on excitement. smile I can't wait .

Blessed night's sleep from 9pm to 3.45 when puss decided to use her tray but did go back to bed till 4,45. The children were away in London last night so the house is quiet (and tidy grin ) but we missed their cheeky little faces. The one night they slept through till 8am parents and myself were awake from 3 - think that's what you call sod's law! Hope everyone managed to get some more sleep last night.

Thank you Nana is was lovely - another day when I was grateful for my waterproof mascara .

Bed at 10.30 wide awake at 1:30 manage to drift off into a deep and dream filled sleep woke to morning..... oh no it’s only 2.30 Hope all of you are zzzzz

cornergran Fri 22-Dec-17 03:19:16

Can I join you BlueBelle? Although with luck you are dreaming again by now. I should be used to this, had sleep, problems for nearly 30 years, came with fibro and I suspect will always be how I am. I wonder now how I managed when I worked and needed to think, I guess the body adapts. I know I’m fretting about family too, doesn’t help. Been listening to music, stil am, it keeps the body relaxed at least. Mindfulness is usually my go to but it’s not helping at the moment. The morning will come, gets tedious waiting though.

I'm here BB. I was so exhausted at the end of yesterday when my daughter and family arrived from abroad for Christmas, I too fell asleep around 10.30 last night. Fatal, as I'm now wide awake. I find that if I lie in the dark hoping to sleep again the thoughts start whirling round my head, so I'm better getting up. I've just had my first 'breakfast'!

cornergran Fri 22-Dec-17 03:26:02

Morning ginny. Envious of your breakfast. Trying to stay in bed, one of the downsides of living in a bungalow is kitchen forays wake Mr C who is far better left asleep smile.

Ginny42 Fri 22-Dec-17 03:26:37

Morning cornergran, sorry you need to be here. When you're anxious about something I think the hours before dawn are difficult. We have complex family problems at present too, although I keep telling myself others are coping with worse.

Ginny42 Fri 22-Dec-17 03:30:14

Well I had to laugh a short time ago. I was in the kitchen making brekkie when my daughter appeared looking stressed - she'd forgotten to unpack Delph the Elf!!! He's now sitting in the middle of my Christmas tree. She's gone back to bed.

cornergran Fri 22-Dec-17 03:31:10

Doesn’t matter though, ginny, worry isn’t a competition and we are bound to be impacted by our own family. I know our lot will get through it, to be honest they don’t have a choice, I just can’t see how at the minute and so want to fix it. Not that I can. This parenting lark isn’t for wimps that’s for sure. Hope your family problems will settle very soon.

WilmaKnickersfit Fri 22-Dec-17 03:35:20

Not dropped off yet, but not for the want of trying. I've only got tomorrow to do some last minute bits before we head up to Scotland on Saturday morning. Going away always makes me nadgy and really want to go, but at the same time I really don't want to go. I didn't used to be like this and I don't know where it comes from. When I'm at my Mum's my sleeping pattern returns to normal because I'm exhausted every night, no matter how much I try to pace myself. I just can't stand the fatigue that comes with MS. Moan, moan, moan. tchgrin

WilmaKnickersfit Fri 22-Dec-17 03:37:47

Quite a few here tonight. I wonder if this is one of the down sides of Christmas? We want everything to be alright.

cornergran Fri 22-Dec-17 03:46:54

Moan away wilma, if it’s not allowed in the middle of the night when is it? Yes, I think most of us do want Christmas to be right. In the maternal job description. Right, I’m going to do something useful and reply to a couple of emails. Back later I’m sure. hmm.

WilmaKnickersfit Fri 22-Dec-17 03:50:30

I'm going to try rain sounds. tchwink I hope you all nod off soon. ?

Anniebach Fri 22-Dec-17 03:52:20

BlueBelle Fri 22-Dec-17 03:57:55

No I m still here I put the iPad down to try and find some sleep but nah not a hope wide awake Listening to the radio, trying to wipe out all the negative thoughts winding round in my head so Cornergran, Ginny and Wilmer happy days xxx?

Ginny42 Fri 22-Dec-17 04:09:42

As some know I've been caring for my ex, my DD's father and now she's home she's having to take over re trying to get carers etc. I've been divorced from him for over 30 years and although it feels weird, I couldn't see him without support systems. There's no easy solution but my DD is meeting with him and his sister today to try to work something out. I'd just like not to have so much responsibility for him. I've had to change my life quite a lot being 'on call' for all manner of jobs since August. That's kept me awake many nights.

BlueBelle Fri 22-Dec-17 04:18:02

Hi Annie your post must have popped up as I was writing so missed you hope you are ok !

WilmaKnickersfit Fri 22-Dec-17 04:23:24
