Well, I went to have a good old moan in the 'anyone awake' thread, and found it has been closed. So, here is a new one.
I'm awake, I have a headache, I'm at work, so can't go prowling around, and I know tomorrow is going to be a terrible day.

My brain whizzes around at 100mph. Tried yoga, warm baths, peppermint tea, cocoa, soothing music etc., yet to have a good nights sleep.

Morning night owls, slept until 6.30, so relatively good. Sorry your digestion was more troublesome than usual, annie, hope the puppy slept well. That sounds really difficult janed3, as you say the noise can be comforting but it’s still intrusive. I wish I had your stamina billyb, I’d certainly get more done. Pleased you made your drive safely notag , we do cope in spite of disturbed nights. Doesn’t mean we like them though. Rest when you can everyone.

The pump itself is very quiet but if the mask slips in the night the air escaping makes noise. It doesn’t wake me but keeps me awake once I have woken. Have an afternoon nap everyone!

2.20am, so sorry last night brought sleeplessness to you all. I remember Elegran saying stress could cause reflux to be much worse, so I need to de stress

BlueBelle Mon 18-Dec-17 03:19:53

I broke my wrist yesterday and had to have it reset with sedation at the hospital. Everyone was very kind but it was painful and still is. I have had paracetamol and DH has been very helpful but I don't think I'll get any sleep. So feeling a bit sorry for myself. I hope everyone else is asleep.

Shirleyw Mon 18-Dec-17 04:29:53

Here's to a quick heal of your wrist ruby song, must be very uncomfortable as well as painful.
I woke at 3... I think the reason being this time I never exerted myself much yesterday. Was altering curtains all morning and pottered about in the afternoon and never went out hence lack of sleep, bit of a lazy day....nice at the time but not really good for one lol...

BlueBelle Mon 18-Dec-17 05:22:25

Ouch hope your wrist gets better soon Rubysong

Marydoll Mon 18-Dec-17 08:12:17

Sorry to hear about your wrist, Rubysong. Here's to a quick recovery. flowers

rubysong Mon 18-Dec-17 18:53:11

Thank you for the kind wishes. It is feeling better now as DH consulted the pharmacist and brought me some good painkillers.

Just come for a bit of a grump. Haven’t slept at all. Read a bit, watched tv via iPlayer, listened to music, tried relaxation and mindfulness. Goodness only knows why. I’m no more uncomfortable than usual and had an active day. No logic.

Not been on here for a few days due to my family arriving but had very little sleep. The children (2 &4) have been very confused and jet lagged so up at 1.30, 2.30 and 4.30 each day - this morning they still seem to be asleep but of course here I've been since 3.45 wide awake and needing some coffee but don't want to get up and wake them! Their poor parents are exhausted too! Not complaining of course - wonderful to have them here smile

Greyduster Tue 19-Dec-17 05:59:50

Not sure whether only being awake since five qualifies me to join you. I have been leafing through the threads and am surprised how many people are actually posting through the early hours. Don't know what woke me up but it's too cold to get up and make coffee! Willow I'm sure your littlies settle down soon, bless them. They've come an awful long way. Rubysong I hope your wrist is healing and you are not in too much pain.

cornergran Tue 19-Dec-17 08:27:52

Post just disappeared. Grrr. Too tired to do it again. Take care everyone with little sleep.

JaneD3 Wed 20-Dec-17 03:27:45

Pleased to see I am the only person here tonight - I hope the rest of you are sleeping peacefully flowers

Anniebach Wed 20-Dec-17 04:28:48

Woke at 3.45 tried to go back to sleep but needed tea, hope you have gone back to sleep Jane

Day6 Wed 20-Dec-17 04:51:40

I have to be drugged now before I'll fall asleep.
A night without sleep means the next day can only be a lethargic struggle. In my case that means the pattern is repeated and I am awake again the next night after a day of doing very little/lethargy!

I sympathise Annie. It takes it's toll.

MissAdventure Wed 20-Dec-17 07:16:28

I've been awake since around 3.30 am. Exhausted now its nearly time to get up. I feel like I could sleep for England if I could snuggle down. Shame I have to get up with grandson shortly.

silverlining48 Wed 20-Dec-17 09:35:48

Nights are so long and dark arent they? You think its just you, but it isnt. . Try and have a snooze today missA. I have also been awake most of the night too, As per.
Hope you sleep better tonight.

MissAdventure Wed 20-Dec-17 09:46:02

Oh yes, they're incredibly long! I prowl around, trying not to stimulate myself too much. No time to snooze today. Busy doing nothing at the minute. Convincing myself I feel under the weather, probably to try and avoid doing all the things on my list. I feel sick just thinking about it!

silverlining48 Wed 20-Dec-17 10:55:35

I tend to make a list of things to do which does help focus and then tick off what i have done. depends of course what is on the list. Some things to do are harder than others.

Anniebach Wed 20-Dec-17 10:58:51

I can't have a snooze in the day, physiotherapist said I have to stop being a banana, hate going to bed in the day , moan, grizzle, moan

silverlining48 Wed 20-Dec-17 11:25:18

I cant nap during the day either annie. I envy those who can. Zzzzzz

kitlong Thu 21-Dec-17 04:36:01

Given up trying to sleep after being awake since around 3.30. If only I could use this time productively but any noise and the dogs will be off then the rest of the family will hang me out to dry!

BlueBelle Thu 21-Dec-17 04:44:19
