Am I being thick

I was looking for a thread and used the search box which on my iPad is yellow and situated next to inbox and log out boxes at the top right The thread was not an old one I had read it only yesterday but it had gone off the radar ..... nothing came up at all just some google on similar subjects Am I looking in completely the wrong place is there another search box somewhere
Whilst on site stuff (I guess I am actually posting in the wrong forum but I just thought about it as writing) The local sites are still not working for me I emailed the local editor who seemed to know nothing about it so got no where there
Sorry HQ but I do find admin on this wonderful site somewhat lacking when there are questions or blips

Gransnet search facility is crap. It always has been. Some of its crappiness will depend on the search terms used as well. Could you try a different search word or phrase?

BB I don’t find the search function very user-friendly. If I’m interested in a thread I tend to use the ‘watch’ button.

When I tried I thought it was just me being stupid and gave up. If Baggs has problems using it, then I'm not!

I couldn’t use a better search word Baggs I remembered the title and used that ?

If you posted on it you can find it under I'm on or look under the various thread headings Eg Ask a Gran etc, if you know what it was under and if the person had selected topics properly.

Hi Kittylester I m sure I can find it one of the other ways I just wondered what I was doing wrong with the search box

Why have one if it’s so useless if it can’t even find a whole title then it ll find nothing and is a useless piece of doodo
