I have posted this before. When I spoke out in support of another GN member to whom jings was very rude she was very nasty to me.
It is a long time ago, water under the bridge as far as I am concerned.
She has "done her time" and if she wants to come back, she should.
We can only judge as we find. She will fit in well now, we have lots of outspoken members.
Jings is mild to some.

I'm really glad all has been explained. I'd more or less sussed Notme, missed Jalima (glad she's not changing names, I have problems with names), but you Lemongrove have had me thinking. You know, the way you meet someone in the street who you recognise and know - but can't place? So pleased all is now clear.

trisher Mon 09-Oct-17 10:18:48

Maybe I'm strange but I never wonder where posters are or if they are someone else with a new name. I just take them at face value. It's all bit complicated and involved for me.

BBbevan Mon 09-Oct-17 10:53:24

Can anyone explain why people change their names? Is it from boredom with the original, or some other reason, ?

TriciaF Mon 09-Oct-17 11:15:39

I've been thinking of changing my name for a while, because it's so much like trisher's.
Never got round to it.

TriciaF Mon 09-Oct-17 11:17:20

ps not that I dislike you or your views, trisher, but people get mixed up with our posts sometimes.
But does that matter, really?

Luckygirl Mon 09-Oct-17 11:32:06

234 posts! - is that more than last year?

trisher Mon 09-Oct-17 11:35:17

I don't mind TriciaF entirely up to you. Sometimes it's nothing to do with the name, some people mix me and durhamjen up, but that's to do with political allegiance.
I don't think it matters. Probably just as well they've introduced the colour thing for your own postings that way at least I know what I have said grin

Well as usual a genuine thread of birthday greetings for the people who wanted to wish Jingle a Happy Birthday has been ambushed by the few who still have the ability to ruin a thread by their childish behaviour.

It was clear by the title what the thread was about so why open it, just scroll past angry

Sorry everyone I hadn't been back to check the thread, I have had a lot going on at home, but never in a hundred years did I imagine that all hell would break out.

WARNING

Just to let you know next September the 28th there will be a thread posted Jingle for anyone who would like to pass birthday wishes on to her!!!!

Notme Mon 09-Oct-17 12:02:45

grin

love ya Glass. xxxxxxx

annsixty Mon 09-Oct-17 12:09:19

I think we can officially say Welcome Back, nobody is reporting this time and GNHQ seem to be turning a blind eye as the best way out.

merlotgran Mon 09-Oct-17 12:10:07

Only 234, lucky?

We hit the magic 1000 last year grin

trisher Mon 09-Oct-17 12:14:33

Oh I think Jingle would appreciate an argy to celebrate her birthday. Don't know about Notme

Luckygirl Mon 09-Oct-17 12:16:30

Well, here's another then! grin

NanaandGrampy Mon 09-Oct-17 12:20:02

So can we all look forward to similar posts on our birthdays...Just in case mine is Sept 9th !!

glassortwo Mon 09-Oct-17 12:40:27

And another grin

N&G remind me the day before grin

jingles is easy its the same day as my sons (who was 40 on the 28th )

Maggiemaybe Mon 09-Oct-17 12:44:28

And my daughter's, glassortwo. {smile]

I've seen happy birthday wishes on here for other members. If people know when they are, they'll usually raise a wine.

Notme Mon 09-Oct-17 12:44:49

Where's the 'like' button on 'ere?

lemongrove Mon 09-Oct-17 12:45:53

Pop into the Argy Bargy Bar for a swift half notme ??

Nonnie Mon 09-Oct-17 12:50:14

Only read this last page, life is too short.........

BBbevan people change their names for a variety of reasons but I think the main one is when one wants to post without being identified by family or others. The same reason some choose not to have a profile. It is not that they have anything to hide but that there may be people in their lives who stalk them and they prefer not be identified.

Christinefrance Mon 09-Oct-17 14:02:55

Thanks N&G I will remember your birthday, mine is 18th April, be interesting to see the responses if any ☺

BBbevan Mon 09-Oct-17 14:43:52

Thank you Nonnie I never for a moment thought it might be something they wanted to hide. My user name is so not near my own that it would be difficult I think to identify me from that alone.

NanaandGrampy Mon 09-Oct-17 14:49:28

I'll look forward to a lengthy thread full of good wishes and happiness.... bit like this one * Christinefrance* :-)
