Well I’ve had a lovely afternoon shopping with my youngest gd for our girls afternoon treat. She was a delight from beginning to end, chattering away 20 to the dozen and not pestering me to spend lots of money either. Just enjoying being together which was a real treat. Her big sister apparently loved the cuddly dog I left for her, so a good result all round I think as the old boy and dd2 also enjoyed a dog walk together. I love it when any of ours make it plain they just like our company to do ordinary stuff with.
I’m getting used to the idea of THAT radio being in situ, although have to admit to being slightly puzzled that we seem to be currently listening to music from the old boy’s phone....which is nothing to do with any of ANY of the musical gadgets in this house, including the “new” radio....I just despair!
Glad macS has a date for those scans, soop, fish and chips sounds a lovely treat, sadly bit far to travel for us though.

Mr C would get on well with minibaggs, baggs, he's an avid Harry Potter fan. So much so that we were forced to go to Harry Potter experience and ride broomsticks. I actually loved it . Two king size mattresses sounds like a mattress too far. Hope all's well.

Soop At my last look at the weather map it looks as if this storm may just skim the coast of Ireland and maybe Scotland but it will still be windy.

I was on a garden forum and someone mentioned holiday homes and I had a quite polite but rather pointed near rant about the second home brigade.
Their buying up of rural housing by paying far more money than the locals could ever afford and how this situation exacerbates the rural housing crises in very popular holiday areas.
Will someone please send out a rescue party if needed.
I know Gransnet better much than the other one it might not go in for such debates.

It's time to peel myself off the computer key board. Looking through the window there is a tranquil scene. The sea is flat. No sign of the islands on the horizon. Nasty stuff on it's way for Monday. We're hardy folk. All I hope is that the electricity supply isn't interfered with. I need you lot to keep me on the straight and narrow and cheer me up no end.

We've been tiddling with a Bosch tassimo coffee maker that we were given one Christmas a very long time ago. We had used it once. This time round it took both us to wade through all the helpful info. Sixty minutes later (and no response from the machine), MacSporran walked through the door with a mug of Americano. My jaw dropped. What had we been overlooking? It appears that there is a wee window where the coffee capsule sits. It reads the bar code. It then goes ahead and makes the coffee. The window needed cleaning because the machine didn't have a clue what it was we were wanting it to do. Hey ho! A quick wipe and all is better than well.
nelliem ! I just found a butter knife among the cushions of the old kitchen settee. Fortunately, it did not appear to be buttery. I'm blaming the house teenager.
