Oh well done charley. I know that’s what you wanted, and you’ve already had the other one done. I hope you don’t wait too long and hope, too, the house is well and truly builder-free by then.

annsixty Wed 11-Oct-17 11:42:05

Good news Charley I hope it is done before Christmas.
I may change my name, not decided yet, but I will still be a Kitchener, it is the only thread I feel safe on now.

Galen Wed 11-Oct-17 12:35:53

I googled my username and all I got were pages and. Pages about some old Greek physician. Nothing about ME!
I’m miffed!?☹️

Fennel Wed 11-Oct-17 14:48:50

I changed my username this morning, as mine was too personal.
They did it for me almost immediately.
You need to email [email protected].

soop Wed 11-Oct-17 15:08:46

Ironing duties done. Pot of coffee supped. Sun shining and I'm all yours.

Fennel Who are you? Who were you? Why the change? I'm slightly confused

Galen that is a travesty of justice. Us lot know you (VERY well) and let's be honest, that's what counts.

Charleyg Good news! You'll be as good as new by early 2018. Please tell me that the workmen will have packed their tools and scarpered by then.

soop Wed 11-Oct-17 15:18:58

Granniequeenie A belated happy birthday greeting to you. Your photos are lovely. Baggs will know the name of the fungi. She's an expert on such matters.

Tegan and Tricia Folk who didn't know what Goths stood for, thought them scary, or worse. In fact they were dreamers/poets and gentle souls. I will admit to having shared half a spliff (is that the word) with a boyfriend back in the mists of time. I recall sliding down the wall, sitting on the floor and feeling sick and dizzy. hmm Not a noteworthy experience.

kittylester Wed 11-Oct-17 16:08:57

Just popping in whilst feeding 2 dgc in Derby. I'm almost redundant. One is playing football on an iPad (iyswim) and one is being Hermione in her bedroom and I daren't venture in for fear of ruining some scenario!

Thank you all for your good wishes yesterday.

We didn't do much as I was still suffering from being 'glutened' and it would have been a waste. Instead I made one of DH's favourites. - skinless, boneless chicken thighs with cheese roulade in the middle, kept together by being wrapped in pancetta. He was quite happy. grin

I also looked me up on Google. I, apparently, can't spell my own name but, if I could, I'm a black American popular singer who has been dead years. confused

My real name is quite unusual, to the extent that I have to spell it sometimes. When I Google that I found 4 but none of them me. Could someone just check that I exist. Worse than all of that, it's not even me when I look in a mirror - it's my mother!!

I got passively stoned driving over Snake Pass a very long time ago - that was really scary because the driver was properly stoned! shock

Can you give us a clue fennel?

soop Wed 11-Oct-17 16:17:44

kitty Passively stoned that's a new one! Can you enlighten me please. What are the symptoms when you've been 'glutened^...do you develop a rash? Are you confined to the lavvy? And yes, fennel own up. I need to know who you were and who you are.

kittylester Wed 11-Oct-17 16:39:09

Passively stoned - I wasn't involved in the process but the atmosphere in the car was such that I couldnt avoid it. Makes me feel quite ill at how reckless we were but it's probably nothing to what happens nowadays.

You've his the nail on the head about being glutened - 1St day a lot of time on the loo - next two days needing to go but unable to - at least in my case. I also ache and could sleep for England!

I know lots ofpeople have much worse problems but being glutened is avoidable or should be.

I hope you are feeling better from your cold and the season soop and swanny. I have to confess to loving the change of season - so I feel for those of you who are badly affected by it. sunshine

Fennel Wed 11-Oct-17 16:45:03

My username used to begin with T (not Tegan), second syllable of a longer name name beginning with P.
Fennel is one of my favourite plants - lovely folliage and perfume, useful fruit. (But I'm not really like that blush).

Elegran Wed 11-Oct-17 16:52:20

I think we have met, fennel am I right?

Fennel Wed 11-Oct-17 17:01:48

Several times, Elegran smile

kittylester Wed 11-Oct-17 17:02:22

Got it! Glad you are still here!

soop Wed 11-Oct-17 17:03:14

Fennel I'm really nowhere near as bright as Elegran I have no idea who you were/are. Is it okay to send Elegran a pm to enlighten me? Or, even simpler, you send me a pm. Such a mystery has got me going around in ever decreasing circles. wink

soop Wed 11-Oct-17 17:03:46

kitty !!!

Fennel Wed 11-Oct-17 17:05:01

ps I'm offline for the next 3 days - I'll miss the company of your Kitchen, Soop, and Gransnet.

soop Wed 11-Oct-17 17:14:58

Fennel Good grief! How could you go off line and leave me in a fog? I'm going to take out my frustration on the exercise bike.

Charleygirl Wed 11-Oct-17 17:16:43

soop I am like yourself I do not have a clue who fennel was.

Bellanonna Wed 11-Oct-17 17:20:43

Well I thought I.d worked it out but honestly don’t think she should say any more. She should just PM those who’ve asked. Of course I could be completely wrong. She did give quite a big clue though!

phoenix Wed 11-Oct-17 17:22:05

Hello all, sending good wishes to any who would like or need them!

I am a very relieved Phoenix! Oliver Sprout was out all night (not unusual in itself) but didn't appear until 3.30 this afternoon! shock

Came in dry (it's raining here) and smelling distinctly of "shed" iykwim. Little b*gg*r, I really thought he was gone for good.

Digby was obviously very concerned, I could tell by the way he was snoring confused

phoenix Wed 11-Oct-17 17:23:54

I've got it Fennel ! I'm going to give myself a pat on the head!

(Did you see what I did there? wink)

soop Wed 11-Oct-17 17:32:11

phoenix This beyond a joke. I'm still in the dark. Is pat on the head another clue? If so, it's lost on me.
Have I seen a pic of Oliver Sprout? I must have missed something during my day in the doldrums.

kittylester Wed 11-Oct-17 17:32:44

Yup!

Elegran Wed 11-Oct-17 17:33:34

You 've got me confused now, fennel, because I think you are wrong and we have only met once. I would have remembered meeting you again!

soop Wed 11-Oct-17 17:34:23

Bellanonna I left school with a mere six o levels. I need a lot of help if I'm to see the light.
