Do you have anything odd in your sitting room?

Good heavens no. Everything has a place and everything is in its place unless of course if you count DH as the oddity.

A box full of dog bones that have built up so it now looks like a crime scene but he will dig through them and pick out one to chew most days so they stay there

A full size rocking horse called Belle.

Two very large wooden hippos. First picked up by Dh on a business trip to S Africa, 2nd came later, to keep no. 1 company. They are called Hip and Hop, and live under a huge Swiss Cheese plant, which we now call the Hippo Tree.
Visiting grandchildren like sitting on them!

About 60 models of cats on four shelves. All different' we buy them in junk shops and on holiday! No ornaments anywhere else, though

Before I had the kitchen extended in my old house my freezer sat in the living room. It was a chest freezer so couldn't sit under the fridge in the kitchen

And a bearded dragon for a year in the dining room. It's owners were between houses. The bearded dragon was actually very cute!

We had a snake in a large cage for a while. My son was between flats.!

A hoof. My little dog is chewing it on the sofa, where it is not allowed. It's her reward for the vet saying today that her teeth and heart are perfect. For a ten year old Cavalier that's rare.

Coolgran65, my grandad used to be a boot/shoe maker and at one time there were three of his lasts around, but they disappeared after my mum died. Wish I had managed to keep one somehow.

No idea where the glass eye came from MissAdventure. I think it was probably in a box of miscellaneous items my dad bought at an auction. He would do that just to get one thing and then resell the rest, usually at a profit. The problem was he would often be left with odd bits which he couldn't bare to throw away.

Shysal I shall have a portion of that delicious virtual cake with my morning coffee once I have blown out the 71 candles and been resuscitated after such exertions !

NanKate, my dot-to-dot books don't have 'adult' content, but when searching Amazon for more, I found that they are available. I resisted!

Where does the glass eyeball come from?

We have a glass cabinet which was originally filled (and still has) tasteful nick-nacks. But stuff has been added over the years until now it's more than full. A piece of gum resin from a tree in Australia. A small lump of red striped stone from the Grand Canyon, some interesting seed pods, one or two shells from distant beaches. A short piece of rope DH made at London Dockyard. Oh, and a glass eye ball inside one of the tasteful cup, saucer and plate sets. (Can't remember where that came from.) And so on. Are these odd?

A giant bong, because I love the colours of the wood and glass, a large clear vase filled with water and various shells I've collected from trips to the seaside and a yellow plastic duck that dances when the sunshine falls on it.

On the book case, a cream coloured clay model of a fish with green speckles, just under a foot long. His body opens out slightly at the bottom so that he's self standing.
