Is everyone still ok ? I decided to just go ahead with my washing today . I've looked in the sky no robed woman . Has anyone seen her yet ?

Greyduster Sat 23-Sept-17 15:17:56

hmm. Hope they didn't have oefs a la neige on the Titanic's dessert trolley!! I'd have turned it down too!

GillT57 Sat 23-Sept-17 12:45:19

Just remember those lady passengers on the Titanic who turned down the offer of the dessert trolley...

Pittcity Sat 23-Sept-17 12:40:28

I have showered and put on clean underwear.......or is that in case you get run over by a bus??

annsixty Sat 23-Sept-17 11:25:21

And what about all those crumbs and yuk under the microwave when you move it?

sunseeker Sat 23-Sept-17 11:20:27

As it is evening in Australia - is it still there?

henetha Sat 23-Sept-17 11:18:04

Jehovas Witnesses insisted the world was going to end in 1964, which frightened me very much as I had young babies then. So now I ignore all such warnings.
As for Dotard and Rocket Man, - put them in a boxing ring and let them fight it out before they ruin this world for the rest of us.

Elegran Sat 23-Sept-17 11:01:09

Oh the shame! The firmament dissolving in fire, time itself exploding, and I haven't even swept up the crumbs under my fridge! I shall never live it down!

durhamjen Sat 23-Sept-17 10:45:36

Could you imagine the embarrassment if you hadn't cleaaned behind the fridge and tumble dryer, nanaK.

millymouge Sat 23-Sept-17 10:21:52

Personally I would rather not know, just enjoy each day that does come.

nanaK54 Sat 23-Sept-17 10:21:46

Damn - I have cleaned behind my fridge and tumble dryer would never have bothered with that if I'd known grin

norose4 Sat 23-Sept-17 10:18:15

Thanks Elegran, I will allow myself a little chuckle ?

Anniebach Sat 23-Sept-17 10:16:43

No one know the hour or the day, not even the angels in heaven

Elegran Sat 23-Sept-17 10:14:14

Just remember, norose that what the bible REALLY says is that when the end of the world does eventually come, we will be completely unprepared. so anyone predicting it is WRONG!! So we can laugh at them without fear.

BBbevan Sat 23-Sept-17 10:13:25

He is a bitfraught but he is draught proofing

BBbevan Sat 23-Sept-17 10:12:25

Well I've done the ironing and the washing is on. DH is fraught proofing the back door ready for winter. So we should be alright until then. Then of course we have to get ready for summer so no time for war or anything else. ☮️

durhamjen Sat 23-Sept-17 09:57:55

With Dotard and Rocket Man in charge, we don't need another planet.

norose4 Sat 23-Sept-17 09:50:59

My adult self loves this thread, the Sunday school child who dwells in me ,is afraid to be too naughty & blasphemous ( just in case!?)

tiredoldwoman Sat 23-Sept-17 09:39:40

Decided to colour my hair this morning , it's on the head right now , next I'm going to shave my hairy bits , maybe the earth might move for me tonight ?

Luckygirl Sat 23-Sept-17 09:22:44

Please don't tell me about your sunshine - I am seriously sun-starved here!!

hildajenniJ Sat 23-Sept-17 09:00:40

Still here, sun still shining, it's a beautiful calm Autumn morning. If it is the end of the world, then to quote Crazy Horse, "today is a good day to die".

Elegran Sat 23-Sept-17 09:00:20

I won't bother washing the windows then. Maybe I'll miss paying the bills too.

That would be the Armageddon that was to happen in 2012, 2003 and at irregular but frequent intervals for the last several thousand years? Yeah, right.

That would also be the non-existent planet that no astronomer has caught a glimpse of so they have not been tracking any (gradual) approach?

Remind me which century David Meade is living in? The twentyfirst or the first?

And how does anyone interpret ‘A great sign appeared in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun with the moon under her feet and a crown of 12 stars on her head.
‘And being with child, she cried out in her travail and was in anguish of delivery.’ as a planet ? It sounds to me more like the traditional depiction of Mary as the queen of heaven, plus the imminent arrival of hert son. Surely if you are into religious metaphors, that should be interpreted as predicting that the birth of Christ heralded a cataclysmic upheaval? Have the seers thought of that?

ninathenana Sat 23-Sept-17 08:46:04

I'm still here, thanks for asking tiredold
smile

kittylester Sat 23-Sept-17 08:44:26

Oh no! Does that mean we've got to worry for all that time?

annsixty Sat 23-Sept-17 08:33:20

Well thats because you don't read the right newspapers?
Planet X is due to smash into the earth today and wipe us all out.
The Christian scientist who tells us this is all in the Bible ,when asked for an interview earlier in the week, said he was sorry but he wasn't available until next Tuesday.!!!
Yesterday he said ,well actually things start today,it may be another month before the BIG DAY.

Baggs Sat 23-Sept-17 08:32:27

tow, grin. I ate three jam tarts (the knave of hearts variety) and a marmalade sandwich for breakfast and I'm off out on a walk along the Kelvin. Hope your washing gets dry.
