Mawbroon, You protest too much!

There seems to be a bit of a trend lately for sort of light hearted OP's to be "jumped" on.

It should be obvious to anyone who knows Serkeen's OH was in hospital for WEEKS ( if not months) that I am sure she would have given anything to have him home again, loo roll changing duties or not, and there will be others like her who can still have a laugh about their OH's failings while just wishing they had them back to "moan at".

Many thanks Imperfect 27 for your post, appreciated but sorry I cannot agree. Personally I feel extremely sorry for the OP who I thought posted a very light hearted Monday morning whinge. She could not have anticipated what eventually followed which developed into an acrimonious exchange of views IMO fuelled by Mawbroon. If Mawbroon has any complaints about my posts, then I would urge her to make a complaint.

tigger I don't do 'taking sides'. However, I do think you may have misread / misunderstood the nature of Maw's post to Serkeen, to my mind it was intended to be supportive.

Well, we hardly use any toilet paper, there is a plastic jug and soap within easy reach of both loos. During the war people were encouraged to 'bottle wash', as hot water for baths was a luxury. DH thinks it's an excellent idea, I am pleased to say.

You are not on your own! Same here! Before anyone says leave it and see what happens, I did exactly that withthe lawn in the back garden, it was up to my knees before I had to tackle it myself!!

Now you DO have reason to moan Serkeen - not that you ever seem to.
All those weeks when he was in hospital I bet you would have just been grateful to have him home NOT to change the loo rolls!

Ellie Why would he when he has you that comes along and does it for him, what would he do if you did not..

My gripe is a soaking wet hand towel every day after he's been shaving. Has never changed it in his life!

Your lucky that he pays the bills I pay all the bills in my house and do all the cleaning except from washing up and changing the loo role

Surely we are allowed to post anything on her as long as it's in the guidelines. I don't want to have to worry or think am I going to get critisized every time I want to post something.Of course we are all fully aware of what is going on in our world, surely even more reason to have some light hearted posts.I totally agree with izzywizzy.

Stop changing the roll and folding the towels. Stick it out and see how long before he notices reacts. The world may be going to hell in a handbasket. It doesnt stop these niggles driving one crazy.

My other half never changes the toilet roll, he instead alerts me that it is running low... how considerate - not. My late husband was no better, he used to say "put your feet up and have a rest, you can do the housework later"!

I always have to change the roll,the way I look at it is at least I can have it the way round I like it,see previous posts re this !!!

I am someone who feels seriously offended by the misrepresentation of my posts. As you well know my comment re sarcasm was directed at your "missus" and not the link you posted. So now you are feeling sorry for yourself and when all else fails attack the grammar, a well known tactic. Stop chopping logic and crying all over the place.

grandMattie well your post made me smile. My DH always changes the toilet roll in his bathroom and for some reason leaves the empty cardboard roll on the shelf. Perhaps he's planning do a 'Blue Peter' with them.

And to maw I noticed a few quizzical emoticons in your posts too! Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit. Izzywizzy summed up perfectly IMO.
