I know I am going to be in the minority here but I get her.

In her circumstances I could see myself wanting to do some of the things she did (not all) I realise that you are hurting yourself more than anyone else but I can understand her.

Anyone else?

It’s so annoying having two identical threads I would have thought admin could amalgamate them

I LOVE a good British drama but this one just didn`t do it for me , just too unbelievable that anyone would act this way . Suranne Jones is getting much too thin , she is beginning to look haggard .

We caught up with the last two episodes last night and the whole series has been the most depressing, unadulterated load of old tosh imaginable. What a lot of foul human beings! Hope they don't make another series.

I ended up disliking the woman intensely. Felt no sympathy for her or anyone in it whatsoever.

I found the series rather creepy and the characters so dysfunctional and savage that I really hope they don't bother make another series. Something really sickening about the way she thinks and operates and it leaves a bad feeling that this passes for 'entertainment'.

I did watch it to the end but with scathing criticism of everything all the way through. (Glutton for punishment.)

Hopefully the tale has ended never to return.

Oh Guys you do make me laugh!

BlueBelle Wed 04-Oct-17 13:37:33

Very confusing having two threads can’t the admins combine them

Lazigirl Wed 04-Oct-17 13:15:46

It was great entertainment of the escapism variety, but you really had to suspend belief in the ludicrous behaviour of the despicable characters. Would you really want an appointment with her merlo?

gillybob Wed 04-Oct-17 13:08:45

I was wondering if I could have her "old" kitchen grin

merlotgran Wed 04-Oct-17 13:01:49

At least now we know why you can never get an appointment to see a GP. grin

travelsafar Wed 04-Oct-17 12:27:22

I think she wanted it to be a kitchen that her and Tom had choosen together, something that her ex had nothing to do with. Sort of wiping him out of their life and their home.

Lillie Wed 04-Oct-17 09:40:34

I was expecting someone to die, so the ending wasn't very dramatic in my opinion. The husband was despicable behaving like that in front of his son, I wanted him to suffer the most but got the impression a lot of his grief was put on. Dr. Foster herself ended up a tortured soul and it wasn't really surprising the poor boy left after all that.

Why was she designing a new kitchen for the house when the one she already had looked amazing?!

travelsafar Wed 04-Oct-17 07:44:30

Could be a future series with a return home at some point.

Menopaws Tue 03-Oct-17 22:31:58

Interesting ending

Lillie Tue 03-Oct-17 14:26:23

Can't wait either! I hope it's a satisfying ending, although I'm not sure who I want done away with!
Something tells me this might be the last episode forever?

harrigran Tue 03-Oct-17 09:40:57

Will have to watch it live tonight otherwise eveyone will blab on fb and so on.

Alima Tue 03-Oct-17 06:47:10

Me too, even going to stay up to watch it tonight as it airs!

travelsafar Tue 03-Oct-17 06:28:23

Cant wait for tonight's episode!!!!

Menopaws Fri 29-Sept-17 14:27:51

It's good solid entertaining drama and surely if we enjoy it and take with a pinch of salt why not just watch it without judgement? Of course she is over the top but I def get her anger and it's compelling watching compared to so many rubbish programs, nice to have a program to look forward to watching each week

Maggiemaybe Fri 29-Sept-17 14:02:03

Ouch, sorry about that, to anyone still to watch the last episode - I forgot to do the SPOILER ALERT warning. blush

Oh for an edit button!

Maggiemaybe Fri 29-Sept-17 13:59:42

Well, I'd flounced after episode 2, which I thought was very weak. We then decided we needed to know how it ended, and have caught up with events. I've now found a likeable character to root for - Kate, the long-suffering second wife. And I'm glad she's escaped to a new life in France. Good for her. smile

Anniepops Fri 29-Sept-17 11:37:03

When you're watching a drama Luckylegs9 it's so easy to forget sometimes that it is based on realities. The world sadly does contain unhinged people whose revenge eats them up. So sad for children who end up being wounded mentally or even murdered because of such selfish actions.

Luckylegs9 Fri 29-Sept-17 08:42:01

I don't like the series. Not one character I like. It is so disturbing, to know someone as unhinged and resentful and intent on revenge to the expense of their own child is chilling, howcould hold she down a job, however, know there are such evil people, prepared to kill if they can't get what they want, how often do we hear of people killing themselves and their childrenwith them, because life hasn't worked out for them, it drives them crazy in the end. Her husband and is awful, so is the son. Very depressing.

Anniepops Thu 28-Sept-17 18:48:37

Certainly a possibility NoToOold. Can't wait to see what happens next week. What a messy web has been woven.

travelsafar Thu 28-Sept-17 18:41:02

NoToOold do you think the son will dosomething to one of his parents. He has been screwed up in the head due to their behaviour poor boy.
