What (Not who) have you 'Fallen in / out of love' with?

Twice in quick succession on news articles today I have heard the phrase ' as a nation we seem to have fallen out of love with' - one was the national lottery - and my greying cells have forgotten the other. But the phrase stuck like an ear-worm and made me think about what I might have fallen out of love with myself. there are probably quite a few things. Just to add a bit of balance, I thought for any one thing I have fallen out with, I should try to remember something I have fallen 'in ' with. And no,no,no - on all counts , DHs to be left out ha ha!

Here are mine:
OUTS:

High heels - oh how I loved them, particularly as a shorty, but just can't manage them anymore.

Stabby microwave meals - DH does most cooking and cooks from scratch which has probably altered my taste-buds. I used to love a carbonara - now they seem to salty or too bland.

Facebook - used to like it when first introduced to it by my 'young'uns' about 10 years ago, Now I am a FB lurker - very rarely put up an OP and I am quickly irritated by the 'Look at me having lunch/dinner/holiday / the perfect life blah, blah, blah.

INS

Being a Nanny - no explanation needed.

Current home - we downsized three years ago and I had my doubts about the move, but our modest little cottage is now my haven.

Body butter - gifted so many times and not used, but this year I opened the pots and love it now!

Over to you ...

[grin} Just hope that the clusters of LED tea lights are going to look as good as I hope........

Imperfect27 Tue 05-Sept-17 19:54:40

phoenix that's devotion to duty - well, that or a cover for some sort of dessert addiction. grin

phoenix Tue 05-Sept-17 19:52:58

After eating 60 of the Lidl Deluxe Desserts in glasses, to get enough containers for my planned LED tea light Christmas decorations, I never want to see another one again!

(Confession, I farmed the last 2 out to grateful recipients, Mr P has banned me from buying any more of the lights, which is just as well blush )

Fallen out with Hotter shoes after years of being their next best customer after Imelda Marcos. sad. Current styles frumpy and they are not cheap. For the money I'd just as happily buy Gabor.
(Might make an exception for another pair of Pixie boots though now that they come with a zip to make putting them on easier )

I've given up on watching reality shows like X Factor and I'm a Celebrity but still can't give up Strictly, BGT or Bake Off (reserved judgement on the new presenters). I'll have to give up Dr Who too, in protest, at the stupid BBC thinking a woman will be suitable for the part. Instead of having the tv on all the time when I'm in the house for background noise I am now just switching it off.

I am paying more attention to my garden and decided to spend my ISA ( 1/2 % interest) on an extension instead of letting it fester. I'm not leaving any cash for the taxman as I'm giving it away in dribs and drabs to my children. I'm try to give up meat.
