Found out something new about yourself?

I have actually gone the opposite way with cooking. I recently made an inedible cauliflower cheese for the second time. How does sauce curdle if it doesn't have egg in it?

I don't like the multiple personas. I have thought that some people appear to almost gang up in an odd way and that would explain it. It was also said in a provocative way. At least that account should be cancelled.

DameJudyClench My favourite is vegetarian Cumberland sausages in a sausage sandwich with a small dollop of brown sauce.

I can't really think of anything that I am better at now than before except being on my own which I quite enjoy now.

I expect to see Illtellhim vanish in a puff of smoke as soon as GNHQ notice the multiple usernames - I wonder who else will vanish at the same time? Illtellhim is on GN From 7 to 9? Longer today, I think, as there was a thread he/she could really get some teeth into and leave some toothmarks.

Discovered the garden. Was always meaning to brush up leaves, prune bushes, plant more colourful blooms and so on, but never had time.

Now I have a lovely courtyard style back garden full of colour all year round.

I spend hours here just pottering. Can't believe how relaxing this is and am so glad I found this hobby late in life.

Since I retired I have discovered I am quite lazy I always wanted to learn a language and I have started lessons but I still don't work at it as I should between lessons so not getting very far.
I have also always wanted to be able to paint but have no talent. Can't draw at all and have no confidence so been afraid to try. I have though just booked up for some lessons that start in a few months. I am excited at the thought of it but also a bit afraid.

I'm really good at watching TV!

Jane10 - don't be bashful! Please tell us about the books you have written, titles and nom de plumes - especially as GN inspired you.

Illtellhim - what is the point of having 3 different names on Gransnet? Please tell us quickly before the editors get wise to you.

Ramblingrose To save Jane10 having to risk being in trouble with GNHQ for advertising, I shall tell you that her pen name is Jane Tulloch and she has published two books, entitled "Our Best Attention" and "Assured Attention." Both have short stories about goings-on among the staff of a department store. They are on Amazon (The Kindle editions are the best value!)

Oh Elegran! I don't mean to go on about my books/writing etc its just that that's what I actually do. Its my life. Mostly I watch TV though!
Elegran came to both my book launches and I hardly had to bribe her at all! You're all invited to the next launch but I'll have to write the book first so there might be a bit of a wait.
I've got another story in the People's Friend next month if anyone's desperate but no launch for that.

I have discovered a 'talent' for diy and am working my way through my house from top to bottom. So far so good. Upstairs duly completed. Every now and again my mojo gogos and my beautiful state of retirement allows me to pander to that by going fallow. However I was in the shed checking on paint and brushes this week so..... watch this space! Great sense of satisfaction.......

I have never dipped into the "Book club" topic on GN so I must see what they recommend. A friend told me the other day he reads only factual books because life is short and he has so much to learn.

All that remains is for that other bashful Gransnetter Illtellhim to reveal her/his alter egos! Come on, Illtellhim - Anya and Morgana are dying to know your other names on Gransnet.

I'm more curious about why you feel the need to have 3 different personae. I find that having just one of my own is more than enough to be going on with.

It's always worth checking the Book Club recommendations btw, I've found some really terrific books thanks to suggestions from Grans.

I discovered that I'm good at various crafts. I've always been able to knit, sew and crotchet but now I make cards, gifts , Christmas decks , all sorts.

And I've discovered after many years of an often 4 hr daily commute that I have time for so many far more interesting things than work :-)

I think you are very likeable Kitty and understanding particularly when last year I very rudely made negative comments about the village you lived in. You cut me a bit of slack as I didn't really know the area at all.

The thing I have learned about myself is that I am a much more patient grandmother than I was as a mother.

I have discovered a love of cycling and ride as much as possible.

And I have astonished myself by finding out that I actually like growing things. I've never had so much going on in my garden (not necessarily successfully, but definitely enthusiastically)

I have discovered that I am a very good procrastinator.

I probably am too Jalima I'll maybe check tomorrow...

If you have three personas on GN you could have fun agreeing with yourself, or even argue with yourself and call yourself names.?

Or you could cause a lot of trouble and gang up on someone else.
