The explanation given in the textbook was that women protect their face while men during the war protected the flame so the enemy couldn't see them. But perhaps it is just to do with the wind blowing. Teabag - whatever shape/brand is best value when I buy them.

Bath, obviously, as the only arse Rs in it belong to me or DH.
Tea, as dinner was always a midday meal where I grew up. Even when packed lunches started being used in schools, we still had dinner ladies.
As for jam and cream, it has to be jam first for me. A scraping of jam and a dollup of cream, which is quite difficult to do in any other order

I hang the loo roll so that the end is at the front. However, I cannot imagine being so rude as to change its position in someone else's house. Nor do I go through their kitchen cupboards turning cans so that the labels show the fronts or the coffee mugs so that the handles all face the same way. I don't check whether their ovens are clean either.

In hotels the carefully folded end is resting on the top.
