Shopping Trolley Advice, please!

That sounds like a good idea; I have one at home, but it's very heavy, so I'll look into finding a lighter one - thanks shysal

Have you thought of using a wheeled rucksack? I have one with a retractable handle to use if it gets too heavy to carry when I go to the market for fruit and veg. There are several on Amazon.

Sorry to add to this thread, but I would really like to get a shopping trolley which I can take to work to use on the way home - needs therefore to be collapsible while still moderately robust, to carry e.g. big bottles of milk which get heavy when carried in a carrier - any experience/advice gratefully received!

I have checked Amazon and there are many with fold down seats at various prices. That is the route that I would go down because she is not getting any younger.

Is she afraid of looking old by using a shopping trolley? I've never carried shopping since I was 49 and needed my first hip replacement. A trolley is so so much easier. Take her to a luggage shop to try them out. You don't have to be old to use one, just sensible.

I agree with looking on Amazon and who knows, you may find a trolley with a small seat which she may need to use.

I got my Giraffe print one from www.trolleyworld they had a gorgeous one with liquorice allsorts on which I quite fancied.

Most of those shopping trolleys are of the same design as the original but in different colours which is what you're trying to avoid... what about getting mum a lighweight cabin case in a pretty colour instead?
