DSIL lost his tractor shed in a very short but very sharp storm too, phoenix.

Shysal, a long time coming, but in the end we didn't get an awning. After contacting the company, we do not have enough height above the window where I wanted to put it. (There is a lovely little courtyard space behind the garage). If we had had enough wall space to attach brackets, that would have worked, but we didn't. So, it's back to a large parasol. Some good came out of the old one though, I made a cover for my rotary washing line, so the upturned bucket is redundant. Haven't SKI 'd, so more in pot for the great grand children, who of course are gorgeous. -

Shysal I am seriously considering having one fitted. After looking at large parasols, it would seem to be the least trouble. Now, just choose where to go to buy one.

A few years ago I had a wind-out awning fitted onto the back of my house. I have been so grateful for it in the hot weather. Not only does it give me somewhere shady to sit, but it keeps the house cooler. They are not cheap, but I decided to SKI. Hope you are happy with whatever you decide on.

The lost is found. Although I had looked over the neighbours fence, I didn't see it. Then he came round to 'borrow' something, again, and I asked if he had seen my umbrella, and it had been tucked behind his garage. Alas it is broken beyond repair, but I have salvaged the canvas top, and shall make a cover for my rotary washing line out of part of it". Since then I have been researching pull out awnings and gazebo type things. Now just have to decide whether to SKI or be frugal.

I've definitely lost a few shoes thanks to foxes running off with them (we leave our garden/mucky shoes just outside the back door). But a garden umbrella!? That's one brazen thief/galeforce wind! Hope it reappears!
