How much will it cost to leave the EU?

I have been reliably informed today that you can obtain a passport for a Build-a-Bear so that should come as a relief to all of those who own one and wish to take them abroad after Brexit. I am not sure of the cost.

What a great idea! I'm sorting out my cellar today, so I'll see what treasure I can find. I spent three hours down there yesterday going through piles of old documents, so can already offer a generous sack of shredded paper, ideal for hamsters and other scuttling critters.

I think opening a Brexit charity shop is a brilliant idea Barmyoldbat and your idea of buying your own stuff back is even better. (You don't 'alf live up to your name!)

What would we call this shop? Perhaps we should have a chain of them dotted around the country ?

We could have a sign in the inside if the door saying ;

No brEXIT unless you buy something

We could open a charity shop to raise the money needed, I could then donate and buy back because I had forgotten I donated in the first place!

Jest not gillybob , I wanted to buy an original oil painting of a tropical cove complete with galleon many years ago but DH did not.
I went back to buy it anyway (a whole month's salary for me all those years ago and we were saving for a house too!).

Someone else had got there first and bought it (must have been Hilda).

Oh jalima you disappoint me . I had a picture in my head of your lounge with a Caribbean scene "Muriel" complete with sand and palm trees with those flying ducks soaring across the turquoise sky. Talk about having your illusions shattered.

Well, I am not going to put them on the -Muriel-- wall and the DC will put them in the skip one day so perhaps I should sell them.
Although they are DH's really, I suppose. Along with all the other broken junk treasures from MIL's house.

Jalima I sold a set of flying kingfishers that had belonged to my uncle for over £100 - every one of them had been broken and stuck together. Wish they had been whole!

bet it's worth a fortune It's really not, Jalima. Though I've replaced it at the very back of that shelf in the darkest corner of the cellar just in case. Next to all those foisty old Bunty annuals the DGS will be --throwing in a skip--selling for a king's ransom when I'm dead and gone. After I've re-read them all, that is.
