She sounds a bit mean to me - what an awful thing to say to you. The car should easily seat 4 passengers. I hope she is not going to be unpleasant to you during your break. You are certainly not being childish.

I wouldn't be bothered at making my own way but I'd also feel a bit peeved at the woman for leaving one person out of the arrangements, how petty. Would be better if everyone made their own way than leave one person out in my opinion.
You're not being childish and yes she is being thoughtless and a bit selfish. I wonder how she'd feel if the tables were turned? Also wonder what the other two ladies felt at you being left out of the 'lift'?

Four of us are going on a short break next week. On Monday we are getting the train returning on Friday. Tonight we had a meeting to discuss arrangements. I was greeted by one of the women saying, ' my husband can take three of us to the station but not you, (me) there isn't room in the car for four, you will have to get the bus'. Her husband has a new Range Rover, that seats three in the back. My husband is disabled and cannot drive anymore. I felt a bit uncomfortable and slightly upset. Please tell me, should I be feeling hurt and also feel she is being selfish. Or should I just except that not everyone is very thoughtful. Or am I being childish.
