SAAK Do not include me in you fight for women's rights. I know loads of Muslim women who are British and some who are not but live in Britain. Their lives, opinions etc are as diverse as women on GN. The problem you have is that you see women who follow Islam as a homogenous group.. like saying all atheists are racists.

My initial reaction to the Manchester bombing was that DH and I should send money for funerals as I knew the cost and realised many people would not normally have anticipated a child's funeral in their life. I'm another that hates the soft toys and flowers . We call them cellotaphs.

Our current (and hopefully next) MP is Tasmina Ahmed Sheik. No shrinking violet, she defiantly does not hide her light under a Burka, or Hijab. She was born in Britain, calls Scotland home, is strongly feminist and a practising Muslim, currently fasting for Ramadan.

How do you feel SAKK about this strong woman fighting in Westminster for equal rights, particularly for the WASPI women, opposing benefit cuts/sanctions, removing tax credits from low paid workers and increasing NI for the self employed.

The muslim culture i know do not adapt to our culture. The muslim culture I know are confined and stay that way.

Immigration is out of hand. The key to this is the word "MASS"

I did state that cultures and religions need to be transparent though and hide nothing.

I also think that being part of a society that is fighting still for equality the muslim culture has to adapt. It does not fit into a British society that I, as a woman want.

I have no idea what you mean mcem. Any country should put their own people first. If there are other jobs to fill after that then you're welcome to fill them. This has nothing to do with being Xenophobic in the least. It makes economic sense.

Not prehistoric. Christianity predates Islam by centuries. In a transparent and equal society people wouldn't be turned down for jobs because their name sounds foreign to a xenophobic prospective employer.

Myself and women before me have fought long and hard for equality, we still have a very long way to go. To have such a prehistoric religion foist on our country feels like we have gone back centuries.

I will not be dominated by a culture nor a religion that make this so.

Being part of a liberal country means joining the ethos of that country not being in one yet carrying on something that will bring animosity.
