Ten years ago I was on Islay when they filmed from there, every beauty spot we went to the BBC turned up, such fun.

That's so exciting for him and for you. A few years ago my DGS was a little mascot for Chelsea for a televised match. We had a very quick glimpse of him walking on to the pitch which we recorded and which was replayed endlessly!

He is quite knowledgeable on the subject of snakes and someone they knew was asked to be on the programme, but he said that they would do better to have my DGS! The BBC jumped at the idea and off they went!

We are all thrilled for him - his main delight was meeting an expert on his favourite interest.

DGS would absolutely love to be on a programme with Steve Backshall!!

I knew I would eventually find a reason why I should watch Springwatch. Do tell us when he is on.

Isn't it just! Apparently he was so excited by all the snake info that he forgot to be nervous and came over really well!
