I absolutely loved her agree with everything that's been said. She only had to walk on stage and look at the camera and she made me laugh. When she first sang that song I took a lot of mick taking from friends at the rime because I had a hostess trolley and I was the only one out of our friends who did.

Thanks Phoenix I could hear it in my head when I read it, was sitting on my own laughing out loud. Cried too. I hope she knew how much joy she bought to people.

I didn't see the show but agree with the other posters - her death is a great loss and upset me greatly.

Were last night's two (I think final) episodes meant to be a compilation of the previous ones? I recognised many of the clips from the previous weeks, which I found disappointing.

I think she was a genius I have laughed and cried at this series.

Like you all, I am a huge fan of Victoria Wood and always will be; have seen her live on stage three times and watched every TVs show she ever did, and the repeats. I loved the celebrity laden Christmas specials - only she could attract such names. Both Dinner Ladies and Housewife 49 were a triumph. The only time she ever let me down was when she did a sketch which was rather obviously a shameless and I thought cruel send up of the singer Jane McDonald. I am no fan of Jane McDonald but I thought it was awful and really not worthy of VW. To me, it was like a blot on a fabulous landscape. Feel free to shoot me down.

Caught the tail end of Victoria Wood lasts night, what an extraordinary talent she was, both as a writer and performer. Just gone too soon. I feel the same about Caroline Aherne, The Royle Family was one of the best written situation comedies, where very little happened, but oh so well observed.

There will never again be anyone like Victoria Wood who managed to make us laugh at the ordinary things in life. I just felt it was a shame that she kept her cancer to herself, and did not allow us to share her sadness. Definitely had a feeling of loss after last nights show which is not like me at all.

Just watched last two shows this evening and cried laughing,then felt really gutted there won't be anymore ,like you Jane10 she was the only celeb whose death made me cry, she sang Pam was hilarious

She was always spot on with her comments and she was so good in Housewife 49.

She was wonderful, genuinely funny unlike some of the current comedians who just seem to drone on about themselves or find their humour in obscenities.

Yes to all of the above - Victoria Wood was genius. As another northerner, I loved the song advising her to "be a little bit northern". She always made me laugh, her gentle humour never hurt people though it often tugged the heart strings.
Her portrayal of the teenage girl who was about to try, again, to swim the channel made me laugh but also, you could weep for that poor girl whose parents weren't there but did wish her good luck before she left to make her attempt.

The documentary about her younger years (shown some years ago and possibly more recently) was very revealing. I thought.

I wasn't going to watch because I thought it could be too upsetting but watched the last episode and laughed - and cried!

Such a wonderful talent, so missed; I remember when she first started out on New Faces and then on That's Life, playing the piano and singing.

Yes I can only agree with everyone else. Victoria Wood was a huge talent I loved her solo appearances, she kept me enthralled and in stitches.

Victoria Wood was more than a comedienne. She was a fantastic singer/songwriter, musician, playwright, and director. I cannot think of any more versatile and talented person ever to appear on TV. She was also a fine actor. I remember her sensitive portrayal of Nella Last, a war-time housewife in "Housewife 49" which she also wrote. She was utterly brilliant.

Entirely agree with everyone. She was the only 'celeb' whose death made me cry. Am still so sad that there won't be any more of her shows. Funny, clever and musical. A rare talent.

Very talented lady she always gave me the impression that she would be a very good friend . I read that she didn't like being interviewed she kept her private life that .

Oh yes I agree, a refreshing and very funny unassuming lady, love dinner ladies, such clever writing and look at all those fellow actors who have worked with her over the years, there's a reason for that

I haven't watched this series yet, couldn't bring myself to. I thought she was the best comedian on TV, watching her was always such a laugh. Every time I see her now I keep thinking "she has gone, there will be no more comedy like this". Must get over that and start watching her again, will make a point of watching this on iplayer.

I was thinking the same as I was watching them, it's so refreshing that her humour was not unkind to people, just clever and insightful. She was one of a kind and the "woman's weekly" song always makes me laugh ?. I laughed and cried.
